DIY ‘LOVE IS LOVE’ UNICORN CAKE TOPPER
Can you believe it’s been over a year since we shared a cake topper DIY on the blog?! The last one were these cute emoji cupcake toppers and today we’re back with a fun unicorn cake topper! I’m not even kidding when I say this topper took less than half an hour to make and how fun is it?! Here’s how you can make your own:
YOU WILL NEED:
A Cricut Explore // Unicorn Love is Love Template // Cardstock in a number of colours // A BBQ skewer // All purpose glue //
STEP 1:
Upload the unicorn template to the Cricut design space and size it to whatever you think will work best with the size of your cake. I sized this one 4 inches by 4 inches.
STEP 2:
Set your machine to card stock and load in the card colour of your choice then let the machine do the cutting out for you!
STEP 3:
Once it has finished cutting, remove the unicorn from the mat and pick away the die cut letters so you can see through them.
STEP 4:
Cut small rectangles out of your other coloured card and glue to the back of the unicorn so that the letters now have a rainbow effect from the front instead of being able to see through them.
STEP 5:
Finally glue the BBQ stick to the back of the unicorn and pop it into your cake! Job done!
By the way, that awesome rainbow cake is from Tesco! Can you believe it?! It was only £12 and would look perfect on a dessert table am I right!? xx
