DIY LIGHT UP FLORAL LETTERS
I don’t know about you guys but this week I’ve finally started to feel like Spring is here! I’ve been leaving the house without a coat or jacket and i’ve had a beautiful bunch of tulips sitting pretty on my drawers! Since Spring has truly sprung (or so I hope) we thought it was about time that we started sharing some DIYS with some major spring/summer vibes, so say hello to these fun DIY light up floral letters! They’re perfect for just having in your home or would look great on a gift table at your wedding or by the guest book or even on the head table! Here’s how to make your own…
YOU WILL NEED:
- Wooden fillable letters
- A drill
- Battery operated fairy lights (you’ll want to get one string of lights per letter so that there is no visible connection between each of the letters)
- Faux flowers
- A glue gun (and glue sticks)
- Strong tape
STEP 1:
Start by drilling small holes into your letters, you’ll want to make them wide enough for your fairy lights to easily push through the back to be on display within the letter.
STEP 2:
Then thread each of your fairy lights into the letter until you can see all of them from the front.
STEP 3:
Using your glue gun start to adhere your artificial flowers into the letters, placing them wherever you think looks good and manoeuvre the fairy lights evenly around them.
STEP 4:
Keep going until all of your letters are filled with flowers and lights, then using your strong grip tape, secure the battery pack to the back of each of your letters.
Finally all that’s left to do is turn the lights on and display them somewhere pretty! xx
