FESTIVAL BRIDES! THIS DIY PRESSED FLOWER SEATING CHART IS FOR YOU!
A couple of months ago I was scrolling through Pinterest (as you do) and came across this beautiful photo from a real wedding of a pressed flower seating chart. I paused on the image and thought to myself that it had to be one of the prettiest ideas for a table plan that I had ever seen, not to mention I knew that the whole perspex/ acrylic see through signs being a HUGE trend this year! Once I had seen this it was a complete no brainer that we had to create a DIY of something similar ourselves so we could show you guys how easy it would be to make your own versions of these! They’re so perfect for festival weddings right?!
YOU WILL NEED:
- Fresh flowers of your choosing (we used some beautiful garden grown ones from Beq’s Bouquets)
- Hanging gold photo frames
- Cricut Explore or Maker machine*
- Gold glitter vinyl*
* If you’ve got lovely handwriting you could always use a gold glass pen or something similar to handwrite the names onto the glass!
STEP 1:
Start by using the Cricut machine to cut out your vinyl letters. We went for a larger cursive font for the table numbers and then a more simple font for people’s names. Or as we mentioned above, if you’d prefer to just handwrite the names on to the glass we think that would look super pretty too! Especially in a gold pen!
STEP 2:
Adhere the vinyl to the glass and remove any transfer tape that you used to get the vinyl onto the glass.
STEP 3:
Now that your vinyl/handwriting it on the glass it’s easier to see where you would like to place the flowers! We found it best to spread the larger flowers apart and then pop the smaller flowers randomly throughout the glass frame.
STEP 4:
Finally fasten up the photo frame and you’re done! Since our frames came with the thread to hang them on we didn’t need to worry about that but if yours didn’t then simply thread some gold ribbon into the frame so they’re ready to hang up at the venue!
They’re SO PRETTY right?! Don’t forget you can check out more of our DIYs here! xx
