HOW TO MARBLE PAPER (ON GIFT TAGS, GOODIE BAGS, THANK YOU CARDS & MORE!)
Marble is one of the most popular decor trends that has been everywhere from save-the-dates to wedding cakes. It is a look that is timeless and elegant. It matches many different wedding styles from boho chic to romantically rustic and no matter your theme or colours, incorporating marble into your big day will be sure to turn heads! Oh and we didn’t even tell you the best part! You can create this look yourself by marbling paper.
We’ve got FTD in to walk you through how to marble paper and transform plain white card stock into a work of art. They’re going to explain how to create place cards for your reception, gift tags for the goodie bags and thank you cards for when the festivities come to a close! Let’s get started marbling shall we?!
YOU WILL NEED:
- Baking sheet
- Shaving cream (must be foam
- not gel)
- Watercolors and acrylic paint
- Cardstock
- Paintbrush
- Dropper
- Scraper (paint scraper, ruler or any flat
edge)
Step 1:
Fill the baking sheet with shaving cream.
Step 2:
Smooth out the surface of the shaving cream.
Step 3:
Add in two to three colours with a dropper.
Step 4:
Swirl the colours in a figure 8 pattern.
Step 5:
Lightly press the cardstock into the shaving cream.
Step 6:
Remove and scrape off the extra shaving cream.
Step 7:
Let dry and put on display!
