Bright Lights and Big Rides: How to Plan a Luna Park Wedding That’s Full of Colour and Fun!

When you’re obsessed with donuts as much as we are, you’re always looking for ways to insert some sugary goodness into your life! But if your trying to lay off the sweet snack worry not: today’s feast is for your eyes only. Photographer Serina Harvey started photographing her family farm just for fun. But when at the first wedding she photographed, the bride’s photographer never gave her the photos.The photos Serina gave her were the only ones she ended up with. Her happiness showed how important these wedding photos were and it inspired her to invest in photography as a business.
“The theme for this wedding inspiration was grapefruit! I saw a grapefruit one day and thought wow, it’s really a beautiful fruit. I imagined a wedding tablescape with a half grapefruit sitting on the plate and the idea just grew from there. I contacted our florist and she came up with a grapefruit inspired floral scheme that blew me away. The theme became something that was festive and fun. When the bride showed up with blue hair, we were surprised but it fit perfectly!”
“As for creating the look, I actually purposely purchased everything from Target or Amazon in order to show brides that a fun and beautiful wedding was possible and affordable. My advice for a bride is to follow the same process I followed – start with a seed of an idea, something that’s important and meaningful to and then building onto it, work with your vendors to see what’s possible and bounce ideas around and mostly to have fun! It wasn’t exactly what I envisioned, but I think it turned out even better!”
