‘THE STORY OF US’ PHOTO BOOK + 40% DISCOUNT!

I had so much fun working on the project I am going to share with you today. I rarely go through old photos, like most people I upload them to the cloud, never to be revisited again. So when the opportunity arose to create a photo book with Snapfish full of memories, I jumped at the chance. It truly was one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever done.

I had used Snapfish in the past when I needed to print off the odd photo, but I’d never used it to create a project as big as this, so it was my first experience of using the sites more creative tools. The books come in a range of sizes with different layouts to suit the theme your looking for. I chose the modern highlights as I loved the geometric style and color block vibes. Once I had chosen the visual aspects, the software made it really easy for me to choose from a range of ready made layouts, so no design skills needed. Then all I had to do is add the photos I liked, which I uploaded from a variation of those already uploaded to my computer or Instagram and Facebook and dragged them into position. Something I loved most about the design was the ability to add ’embellishments’ you could add cute little embellishments such as quotes to your pages. I loved coming up with ideas for these as I totally felt like they represented different moments myself and Mr T had shared.

I couldn’t have been happier with the result. When the book arrived I was amazed at the quality! The cover was glossy which made it appear super professional whilst I purposely chose Matt pages as I wanted it to be more like a magazine. For those of you who are worried about using only ‘professional photos’, the only pro photos in the book are our engagement photos, the rest were taken on our phone and uploaded from social media, because I didn’t want to miss out on any of story together because it didn’t look edited enough. That wouldn’t have been a true representation of what our lives together have really looked like. Saying that, I’m sure pro photos would look even more amazing if you wanted to use it as a wedding or engagement book?

I already can’t wait to make another book full of memories for the next seven years, can you imagine?! There will be the evolution of our new house, our wedding and hopefully if all things go to plan, the story of our adoption. Although I’m not sure I’ll be able to wait until then, I think I’ll probably end up making them for special events and gifts for family and friends too.
