KICK OFF SUMMER WITH THIS UNIQUE SUMMER WEDDING INSPO
It’s officially summer and we couldn’t be more ready for it, except for the fact that the weather gods here in the UK seemed to have lost the memo. But there’s nothing quite like some summer wedding inspiration to brighten up our days, so we’re kicking of the first day of summer with EVEN more bright colors, and the most incredible balloon installation I’ve ever seen!
“The theme was bright, bold Spring!” began event planner, Tricia.
“Brides in Winnipeg are often afraid to get married in the spring, because the grass hasn’t turned green yet, the rivers are still quite high and the foliage isn’t at it’s greatest. I wanted to show brides that with a bright color palette incorporating yellow, fuschia and bold pops of blue, we can create that spring vibe.”
“I find that so many of my couples are moving away from traditional trends and wanting to think outside of the box. This shoot was exactly that!”
“Starlit Point is located about 25 minutes south of Winnipeg. It allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, take in the open prairie air and enjoy a sunset or a starry sky through the clear top tent. You are also able to bring in your own food trucks for dinner, spend the night in the bridal cottage or simply just relax by the fire. It’s very modern, unique and unconventional in so many ways! I think that is what is so appealing to brides, incorporating a few traditional elements, all while making the wedding super personal and fun! There are very few locations in Manitoba that offer a clear top tent with a fairly blank canvas. The fact that we could hang from the ceiling all while incorporating their gorgeous venue was fantastic,” she explained.
“Glitter and Glue are the mom-preneurs and biggest inspiration behind the shoot. I saw their balloon display at a local garden center in April and it was just screaming SPRING. Without their ceiling hung balloon piece this shoot would not have come together as perfectly.”
“Meghan from geek chic decor often coordinates quite eccentric themed shoots. Her entire Instagram feed is bright, bold and unique. I knew I needed her on board for the flowers- which are all silk so zero waste!” Tricia added.
“I would hope that a real couple would pull inspiration from the color palette and not be afraid to use canary yellow napkins, or a bright pop of color on the menu cards. I often find couples sticking to whites and ivory’s and I really want to change that trend. I also hope that brides and grooms feel inspired to step outside of the box and use non-traditional wedding items such as balloons or fun party favors at their weddings, because bland is boring!”
