CUTE ALERT! THESE CYCLING ENTHUSIASTS HAD A COLOURFUL BIKE THEMED WEDDING IN LAKE TAHOE
Dani and Sean celebrated their wedding day on the shores of Lake Tahoe in high summer. With snowcapped mountains as the background and their rainbow decor, the sun shone down on their love.
“My husband and I are both cyclists, so we wanted bicycles to be included in our decorations. I also love colour, so I picked the rainbow as our colour palette. It made everything so bright and cheery but not overly crazy,” Dani began.
“We did all the DIY. My Aunt did alot of the decorations and flower arrangements. The ceremony was simple with just an arch and some colored ribbon. The reception had more of the decorations that incorporated our theme of bicycles and a rainbow of colors,” she added.
“All of the flowers used in the center pieces were colored daisies and the bouquets were colored roses. Each bridesmaids had a bouquet that went with her corresponding color. The same went for the groomsmen’s boutonnieres.”
“We had a taco bar for dinner and margaritas for the signature drink. It was a hot day and we ran out of margaritas before the wedding even started but someone was able to go get some more from down the street to keep the margaritas flowing.”
“I love tea length dresses! When I tried on my dress, I looked at my mom and we both knew that was the one. I customized it by adding a red petticoat that stuck out just a little bit. Family and friends thought I was crazy for adding color to my white dress and not going for a full length but I am so happy I stuck with my vision for myself.” Dani told us.
“I have two moments that I post anticipated for my wedding. One was the time before the wedding when my husband and I did our first look pictures. We were able to spend some time together (mostly) alone and enjoy each other on our big day. The second moment I looked forward to was the dancing, specifically, our first dance and the Father/Daughter dance. We picked a great song for our first dance that really was special. I am an only girl so I am a daddy’s girl, so that dance was a very important part for me.”
“My advice to people planning their big day is that no matter how much you plan, something will go wrong on you day. But the most important thing is to not let it bother you. Our decorations were very late and everyone was freaking out, except for me and my husband. I just told everyone if they didn’t get done or not done they was it was meant to be, then so be it. In the end, every one is coming to see you and your partner express how much you love each other, not the centerpieces.”
