JEWEL TONED BOHO WEDDING INSPIRATION IN A BREWERY
As we near the end of August, marks the last few weeks of summer before we can officially say Autumn has arrived and is the inspiration for today’s jewel toned colour palette.
“The shoot took place at Riverwatch Brewery, just one of the two local breweries in Augusta, Georgia. Operated by a mother & daughter duo, this one is my favorite because their beer is INCREDIBLE!” began photographer, Bethany.
“It’s the best place to get married because it’s not designed like an event venue, it’s designed like a brewery. This allows for any decorations or the couple themselves to truly shine, because the “wedding” beauty will truly shine, juxtaposed against the industrial brewery scene.”
“I’ve been in the wedding industry for nearly 9 years, so there’s some classic bridal themes that never go out of style, hence “classic”. Pastels and neutral tones to name a few. But, when venturing into curating my first ever styled shoot all that I was drawn towards was COLOR!”
“Maybe it’s the industrial brewery vibes or the jewel toned florals that a bride might connect with, this styled shoot transcends multiple styles and situations. It’s easily re-creatable for a larger gathering, or keep to the small and intimate theme! If you’re looking for a creative flair to some of your portraits, smoke bombs are an inexpensive and fun way to add a punch of color to your images! And, if you’re an animal lover, dogs are the best bridal party members EVER!”
“When working with my friend-ors, especially Florologie and KCreatives , I sent over the mood board first. Just so they knew what kind of magic they were getting themselves into. From there I truly trusted their creative talents, especially because both of them replied, “Wait! I get to use COLOR!” and were excited to break out of the “typical” bridal palette. The shoot’s story line was that this couple had just gotten married and were celebrating with an intimate reception at their favorite brewery together, so when my favorite food blogger “The Corny Cook” presented her gorgeous charcuterie selections, it was a perfect fit!” Bethany told us.
“The candelabra box, glassware, and plates all came from Hobby Lobby or Target! I wanted to make sure the details felt accessible. As much as I love a great thrift find or an antique gem, it can feel overwhelming for brides to recreate that sort of look. Your local stores have more than you think they do, you just have to have vision to see it all together!”
