LUSH URBAN WEDDING INSPO FOR BOHEMIAN CITY BABES
A tropical oasis in the middle of an old cotton mill, a cake that looks like a work of art and the groom in a green velour jacket – bring on today’s romantic, boho wedding inspo!
We love bringing the tropical indoors, mainly because we don’t get to see much tropical here in the UK but that doesn’t stop us making our own. Todays unique venue is a 130 year old former cotton mill nestled in the foothills of NC. The interior is gritty and industrial, which contrasts the natural beauty outside.
“Everything about this shoot was an absolute dream!” Began photographer Alisha.
“The chemistry between our amazing model couple was electric! After 9 years of marriage, they are more in love than ever and oh my goodness, does it show!”
“The vendors were inspired by a tropical fiesta look. Everything from the flower crown, to the dress, to the cake was meant to feel spicy and vibrant. The table was covered in huge towering arrangements and vintage glass pieces.”
“I was absolutely amazed by the stunning color pallet. We were transported into a tropical oasis – right in the middle of the Old Cotton Mill. The table was covered in these beautiful florals and colored glass. The cake was a work of art – the frosting painted on thick like it was crafted by an impasto master. The natural arbor was also covered in these stunning florals that mirrored the table and the bride’s bouquet. This setting was complete with a lounge area. The peacock chair and side table were also decorated with the tropical flowers and the bride and groom were invited to kick their feet back on the hand woven ottoman. The best part? The sign hanging above the seating reading “I got you babe,” she added.
“Our bride was dressed in a beautiful vintage inspired gown with spaghetti straps and a criss-cross tied back. Her hair was worn loose and wavy and her head was adorned with the most beautiful floral crown! Not to be outdone, the groom was dressed in the most fabulous green velour jacket with black trim and a colorful, patterned tie.” Alisha told us.
“I want real couples to see this shoot and not be afraid of color! Most brides play it very safe with their color palettes, and I want them to see that bold and bright can be beautiful on their big day. All of the special little details in this shoot – the neon sign, the greenery wall, the peacock chair- can all be replicated on your wedding day in a way that fits YOU.”
