What’s a wedding without a Mr and Mrs sign am I right?! Whether they’re hanging on the back of the chairs or displayed somewhere pretty on a table, it’s such a nice piece of decor and the perfect opportunity to bring in your theme more! For example if you’re all about the greenery then today’s DIY is for you because these foliage style signs are perfect for adding more GREEN to your scheme!
As you know these wedding signs can have a lot of variety too! They can be wooden, engraved, written in calligraphy and of course if you’re a Mr & Mr or Mrs & Mrs then just swap out the template for whichever you’re using!
Ok, let’s crack on with the DIY shall we? Because today we have an easy and creative way you can make these signs for your wedding all on your own! We know you crafty brides love to get stuck in to making your day more personal and would rather make their own wedding decorations, so let’s get going shall we?
It only takes an hour or less to complete and will bring a personal, creative twist to the traditional wedding signs plus they look super professional when finished! If you’d prefer to watch this tutorial in video form, then click here!
YOU WILL NEED:
STEP 1:
Print out our PDF ‘Mr. and Mrs.” sign, then remove the glass from the frame. (Be careful not to break it, as it can easily break when you reassemble the frame). Place the glass over the print out, and secure it with tape so that it dose not move.
STEP 2:
Now begin to outline the Mr or Mrs with paint pen on the glass. Let it dry all the way, then position the glass back in to the frame with the painted side down facing the table
STEP 3:
Put greenery or flowers of your choice on top of the glass, keep in mind that space is limited so make sure it can be flattened nicely. Then close the frame with its back and secure it. (Make sure you are not forcing the glass to avoid it from cracking)
STEP 4:
Finally, repeat steps 1-7 for your other sign!
These wedding signs will look beautiful with all your other decor and you can choose whatever greenery or flowers match your wedding, whether it’s tropical greenery or woodsy/ rustic greenery or even a bunch of colourful flowers that will make your signs POP at your wedding.
