COLOURFUL BOHO WEDDING AT THE WELLBEING FARM
If you’re looking for a fun way of doing a traditional farm wedding then look no further than Alex and Richards rainbow meets boho, rustic, shabby chic wedding at one of our favourite UK wedding venues – The Wellbeing Farm in Bolton. Their colorful farm wedding included a totally vegan menu which you guys know we LOVE!! Llamas, smoke bombs and the cutest flower crowns!! What more could we want?
Alex & Richard wanted to spend as minimal as possible on their wedding and managed to create the whole day with under 10k.
The couple booked The Wellbeing Farm just 6 months before the date of their wedding. Having previously visited the venue 3 years earlier, Alex had her heart set on the venue and after revisiting realised it was perfect for the fun bohemian, rustic, shabby chic vibe she was looking for.
“The Wellbeing Farm really is an amazing Venue! Any questions beforehand were answered promptly and ideas constantly given to me. It really made my life so much easier whilst planning the wedding. They made sure I could eat all the food and drink (everything was Vegan & Gluten Free) which made me feel special and not awkward with having dietary issues.” Alex explained.
“The farm also provided a lot of the props, just how I imagined my wedding. There were hay bales, blankets, cake stands, sweet stalls, wooden boards, jars, bunting, lanterns, quirky signs. I barely needed to buy anything extra. They provided outdoor games, although the weather wasn’t so permitting and we even had Llamas from the farm come and join us for cocktails,” she laughed.
“Hamilly’s Florist Bolton whose also my mums friend, created an array of floral designs in bright and happy colours. My favourite flower is a sunflower so I had to have them in there. We also had pink roses, lavender, palm leaves, eucalyptus, gerbera’s plus more. I had ribbons tied around them so I could do an untraditional ribbon cutting ceremony instead of the traditional bouquet throw.”
“My dress was from Wed2b. I bought it in 2016 and I cried when I tried it on so I knew it was the one. Everything about it was perfect. The way it fitted my body, all the sparkles, the simplicity yet detailing of it was everything, the lace back and mermaid style cups.”
“Sarah Glynn was our photographer. She was incredible and captured the most amazing shots of us. I love how she captured everyone smiling throughout. Ohhh and the smoke bomb shot!”
“It was the best day ever. I’d have it on repeat everyday if I could.”
“Enjoy every minute, don’t think or worry about anything else there is nothing else you can do now. Let everyone else do things for you, it’s your day just have fun with all your family and friends. At some point in the day take 5 mins out to breathe and for you and your new husband to chat, reflect and watch everyone enjoying themselves. After 8pm the night goes too fast. Stay on that dance floor and have the time of your life. It’ll be over before you know it, waking up the next morning with a big smile on your face wanting to relive it all!”

What a beautiful wedding, and such lovely photography! Those colours are really popping! And those floral hair pieces are stunning!
Great and colorful barn wedding with nice details. Cannot believe that the wedding was under 10k, because it is so wonderful. Really great job. 🙂
