THIS ETHEREAL PASTEL PINK WEDDING INSPIRATION IS MAGIC
Hosted by small event design and content creation team, Milk and Honey Collective set up this styled shoot workshop at one of their all-time favourite venues, The Providence Cotton Mill. A gorgeous 130-year old solid brick building, with a 10,000 square foot open air main hall, the building has a soaring ceiling, arched window openings, exposed wooden beams, and distressed plaster walls which are truly incredible and provided the team with the perfect ethereal vibes.
“We love to take concepts that are trending and put our own twist on them – and that’s definitely what happened on this day.”
We always build a concept around keywords that come to mind, and our keywords for this design were “fresh, soft, colourful, romantic, ethereal, dreamy.” Began Jessica, Milk and Honey.
“The look was based on a palette of soft, dreamy pastel pinks and lavenders with creamy whites, rich neutrals, and hints of pale teal blue and mint green.” She explained
“With dreamy gowns, dramatic floral headpieces, fresh colourful floral installations, a vintage Piaggio Ape mobile bar, “unicorn” inspired desserts, velvet tablecloths, vintage upholstery, hand painted dinner plates, an artist on site live painting, the event was a total dream come true!”
“We had an amazing team of vendors who brought this the theme to life, including two floral designers, two vintage rental companies, and so many creative minds. Our editorial models wore intricate floral headpieces by Thistle and Twig Flowers, and Santara Flowers created a ceremony site installation with two towering floral columns.”
“A real bride could totally pull off this design on her wedding day!” Jessica told us.
“On the table, opt for luxurious velvet linens in soft pastel colours, hand painted glass dinner plates customized to match your design, paint dipped flatware, and iridescent stemware. In your floral design, ask your florist for organic, dreamy arrangements with minimal greenery and a good balance of neutrals and pastel colours. Bring on a vintage rental company to style lounge seating for your guests with soft coloured upholstered furniture and gold framed, glass top tables.”
To get this editorial bridal style, go for a super glowy look, a romantic updo topped with a dramatic floral headpiece, bold makeup, and a soft coloured dress with beaded bodice, flowy tulle skirt, and a leg slit for extra movement.”
“Also, some other extra special elements from this shoot that we totally recommend: A vintage Italian mobile bar serving up prosecco, “unicorn” rainbow Oreos, and an on-site artist live painting your special day. (How awesome is that?)”
