EXPLORE THESE TRAVEL INSPIRED ELOPEMENT IDEAS FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR OWN HOME
Weddings, like many other industries, have been dealt a massive blow this year, which is why we are even more determined to support all our wonderful suppliers and continue to inspire all our amazing couples. Many of the weddings that we would normally associate with may be cancelled for now, but it won’t be forever. We will eventually see a return to the weddings we know and love. And as suppliers continue to pivot and find new ways of doing things, new trends will also emerge, like micro-weddings which are already becoming very popular!
Today we want to encourage you think local when it comes to planning that elopement. Inspired by her love of travel, photographer – Melissa wanted to showcase how couples with a love of adventure can still use the concept as inspiration, just without the travel.
“The inspiration for the Aviator inspired elopement came from my love of travel,” began photographer, Melissa.
“I wanted to showcase how couples who love adventure can elope and celebrate their love anywhere they choose without the complicated stresses of wedding planning. I believe that if there is love and adventure, the sky is the limit.”
“For this shoot, we decided on Nelson Ghost Town and El Dorado Dry Lake Bed for different reasons. To go with the Aviator theme, we chose to photograph the unique look of the planes in the background which included smoke bombs for dramatic effect.” Melissa explained.
“The El Dorado Dry Lake bed in Las Vegas not only showcases a blank canvas of open space but the lighting during golden hour sets a romantic tone while showcasing the beauty of how the sun sets on the dry lake bed.”
“Each Vendor brought their own creativity to the shoot. From the Bride’s hair and make up to the custom jumpsuit by designer Michelle of Dalliance Bespoke to the intricate travel details of the stationary from Villa Rosa Paper Goods and the heart sparklers at dusk by Broadway Bridal Sparklers, we wanted each detail to fit the theme while keeping focused on the couples love story.”
