Wedding & Event planner Gina described this shoot to us as the love child, between herself and fellow creative and florist, Flormosura. Looking to design a fun & colourful shoot mixed with a lot of funky floral designs and great design pieces, the pair were thrilled to work with the rental company Mi Vintage, who had just opened their new studio MV Studio Miami.
“MV Studio Miami is actually a photo studio that launched very recently. Although this isn’t ideal for a wedding, in this time of Covid-19 it’s great for elopements, engagements, proposals and family photos!” Gina began.
“Flormosura was the ultimate inspiration for the shoot. Her style of florals is very bright, fun, funky and we wanted to create a wedding concept that represented just that. We also wanted to showcase this new studio space for other creatives and couples.” She added.
“The stationery design, especially for the place settings came from a love of vellum and different mediums for these pieces. The cake design was something I dreamed up & envisioned-something youthful and fun. Sweet Guilt, killed it! Although denim jackets are already a trend with couples, I wanted to showcase a new design concept and something a little edgier.
“We really wanted to push the boundary with colour and design and show couples there is no reason to fear it!” Explained Gina.

“Don’t be afraid of colour, even if you are getting married somewhere that has a lot of decor elements. These colours were so fun to play with and really showcased the couple’s fun personality. Neon signs are totally worth the investment and if you get a custom one you can keep it at home! Another top tip is to care about what your bar looks like! If the aesthetic of your wedding is important don’t forget about all the details that will be in your reception space, including the bar. Have fun with this area, create signature drink signs, bring in photos of you and your boo! This is where the party starts!”
