Bright Lights and Big Rides: How to Plan a Luna Park Wedding That’s Full of Colour and Fun!
BALEARIC BOHO WEDDING INSPO WITH A TROPICAL TWIST
Set in the beautiful hills of Benimussa, Gala Weddings has just about everything in one huge venue. Perfect for a small or large wedding, the terrace of the old finca gives a bird’s eye view of the bay, the sea on the horizon and the famous Ibiza sunsets. Keen to show off all the venue has to offer, this team of creatives put together a Balearic Boho styled shoot with a very tropical twist.
“Although I am a baker by trade, I love to style and create anything weddingy.” Began Sharon, founder of Cup Cake Collection Ibiza.
“I am also lucky to have many other creative friends in the industry, florists, hair, photographer, makeup… Even our model bride, has another business making macrame backdrops which are just stunning,” She continued.
“The cake & sweet table was a delight! Being able to add a splash of colour was a real treat! And the in-house chefs at Can Tunis are amazing with food. They are famous for their signature paella and rice dishes but are also expert at international dishes. So, I asked them for something tropical for the appetizers and we had mozzarella, grilled pineapple on rosemary stems, genius! We also had coconuts filled with fresh tropical fruit, including Nispero’s which is a seasonal fruit grown locally which is like apricot and chicken tacos which were served on a wooden plate, with palm leaves and purple bougainvillea to add the vibrant colour.” Sharon told us.
“We wanted to style a shoot on the terrace so people can appreciate the space and views. The view from the terrace of the farmhouse is so beautiful. You can literally see the whole of the bay.”
“Gala Weddings have a large selection of furniture in-house so, we decided to use the outside area which is set with the stone walls and abundance of olive, almond and fruit trees to set up a very rustic setting for the ceremony. Long benches, natural foliage, and a long natural weave ceremony rug with baskets and a boho tepee chill out area. It was a boho dream! The white and green with a real splash of colour was why we chose the tropical theme whilst the green tropical backdrop was ideal for photos and can be changed to suit any theme wedding.”
