STYLISH ELOPEMENT IN THE DOLOMITE MOUNTAINS

Today we have the unique and totally true love story of Sash and Vadym, a Ukrainian couple who left their country which is not only the brink of a civil war but during a worldwide pandemic, arriving in Italy by bus. The couple overcome every boundary and bond to celebrate their love on the summit of Seceda, on the Italian Dolomites mountains.

“Sash and Vaydm contacted me 10 days before the big day and I thought it was a game.” Began photographer, Marilisa.

“The style of their elopement was fresh, stylish, rock, out of any convention because it really represents them as they are.”

“Sash dressed in warm white silk with clean and elegant lines but with a wide slit and Dr Martins; whilst Vadym wore Bermuda shorts and white shirt.”

They celebrated their vows on the mountain of seceda (2,519m) in the UNESCO park of the dolomites, then the rain started, and it felt like we were in Scotland with the fog and free horses.” Marilisa explained.

“We are travellers and looked for the most beautiful place in the world.” Sash told us.

“We had to choose between Iceland and Dolomites. But what can be better than Italian food and the perfect climate?! And when we found Seceda on Pinterest we understood that this mountain is the most beautiful place in the world.”

“The theme was “mountain vibes”. We love nature and mountains; they give us freedom. And the night before our wedding was spent on the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. It was amazing and inspiring experience to sleep under stars.” She continued.

“We planned the whole day by ourselves. We just wanted to make our wedding day the happiest day of our lives. We just wanted to be together, go to the mountains, to swear eternal love to each other, travel around the Dolomites, eat pizza and pasta everywhere we want and drink Radler. We didn’t plan the day as such, we just bought our dresses and boots, booked the best hotel in Scandinavian style near Seceda, and within two weeks we were on the top of Seceda, crying because of our happiest day.”
