RUSTIC ELEGANCE MEETS SUMMER FUN WEDDING INSPO
Rustic elegance meets an injection of summer fun and an explosion of colour in today’s wedding inspo.
The theme was very much a celebration of summer. After over a year of restrictions, and not having the opportunity to be creative, the shoot provided each supplier the chance to create something that was fun and exciting.
“We wanted to keep the colour palette vibrant with pops of pink, orange and blue, we also incorporated touches of springtime pastels within the florals.” Began Jodie, planner and stylist at Knotted in Love.
“For me summer is all about catching up with friends and family, snacking on picnics, sipping cocktails and showing our competitive side, so colour and fun were key elements when choosing the amazing team of suppliers.” She told us.
“When considering florals for the day we wanted to create pieces to compliment the surrounding Yorkshire Dales. Throughout the ceremony, bouquet and main table Gem from Rock & Wreath created beautiful wildflower elements, that had a twist one your traditional design. All of which were filled with only British flowers, full of movement.”
“For the cake we were looking for something that incorporated the picnic element of summer, and what better way than a dessert table to feast on? From traditional Victorian sponge slices to raspberry and white chocolate cookies, Jen from Chessy Bakery created the perfect summer bakes, along with a stunning cake that was beautifully decorated.” Jodie continued.
“And Sedgewell Barn’s inhouse bar team also didn’t disappoint, with fruity and floral drinks made especially for the model couple, Louisanna’s Mobile Bar know their stuff when it comes to liquors. It really is the perfect location for any couple looking for a venue that allows them to extend their celebrations over three days and offers everything and more (including a confetti pony)!” She added.
“The dress was provided by Cristello Bridal, based in Penistone. We were looking for something that wasn’t traditional and white, and Lisa selected a stunning Loadoro Bridal blush diamante gown. Whilst Em from Eva Jane Bridal created a simple but elegant soft half up style, that framed Jane’s face beautifully, and was finished off with a coloured hair comb. Jane’s look for the day was created by Eleasha at O.M Makeup Artistry & Beauty, who created a perfect statement but natural look, to compliment to theme of the shoot.”
“Our photographer’s light and bright style perfectly captured the whole day, from the delicate florals to the industrial and rustic barns. Not only did Matthew and Jane feel completely natural around Jenna, but also when capturing behind the scenes none of the suppliers felt uneasy about being in front of the camera.”
“Fawkes Quill’s in house Daphne suite truly set the tone for the vibrancy of the shoot. When Jenna came back with the design, I’d never seen something that set the vision so perfectly!”
“So often we see a lot of pastel pinks and whites, we wanted to show couples that they don’t have to be worried about breaking away from the norm and adding a little colour, especially for those summer weddings!”
