A Beautiful Adventurous Sedona Wedding Photoshoot
Cassandra and Tyler were all set to get married on March 3rd, but the weather had other plans for them, so we moved their wedding up by one day. Oddly enough, everything they had bought with their date on it broke!
Outside of that, this elopement day was absolutely beautiful and so authentic. The couple got ready separately with their family helping them and showering them with love. There was a lot of emotion and excitement around the day.
I admired how Cassandra wore her grandmother’s necklace and Tyler wore his grandfather’s bola tie. They each gave each other a gift before the wedding.
Cassandra received a pair of rare shoes she had been hoping to get which she was stoked on and she gifted him a watch and a journal she had been writing for some time of their relationship leading to this day.
Once everyone was ready to go we set off-road up the mountain to arrive at a beautiful scenic overlook of Sedona. Here they shared an emotional ceremony, seeing each other for the first time as her father walked her down the trail.
After the ceremony and some time with family, we set off to explore, putting adventure in an adventure elopement. These two climbed every rock area they could to explore all Merry Go Round rock had to offer for their day.
We ended the evening with a stunning sunset with purple and pink skies. We hopped back in our jeeps and off-roaded back down the mountain towards home for pizza and a tequila shot as both of their mother’s signed the marriage license.
Since we had to make some changes due to weather their dinner reception would still be held the next day. We met up with them on their original wedding date to capture them getting ready together in this super epic dome Airbnb before heading over to dinner with the rest of the family.
During the day Tyler had set up their dinner space, making it romantic and cozy for the night. Chef-prepared delicious steaks, Brussels, and duck fat fries.
Following dinner, some of their siblings shared a few emotional, yet funny and touching toasts to the couple welcoming each into the family. Then they shared the first dance with a song from a record they had made with a photo from their engagement session.
The first dance was fun and light-hearted but followed by dances with their parents that were filled with happy tears. Before cutting into their cake, Cassandra’s dad played them and the guests a wedding song from his guitar.
It was a perfect way to end the formalities of the night together. Cassandra and Tyler’s elopement was filled with so many details, from their outfits, who was invited, gifts to each other, and moments throughout the experience that truly made it an event we will for sure never forget.
It was a perfect mix of time with family, time connecting alone, and adventuring around this beautiful place they chose to get married at.
