This Luxury Southern Wedding Styled Shoot at the historic Ribault Club in Jacksonville, Florida – was an absolute dream! I’m Julie from Julie Terry Photography, a Mother/Daughter Photography Team, and this is our short story of a wonderful styled shoot.
We planned a local Luxury Styled Shoot together as a special project to highlight some of the local vendors and add more of our favorite wedding styles to our own portfolio.
A Charming Southern Wedding at The Historic Ribault Club
The Historic Ribault Club in Jacksonville, Florida is an iconic, stunning location for a glamorous southern wedding, making it the perfect choice for this Romantic Garden theme. We were overjoyed to curate and display new arrivals and custom creations for the super busy 2022 wedding season.

We already had the perfect idea for the perfect model in our vision, Sofie Rovenstine, whom we followed ever since living near her home in Franklin, Tennessee. Sofie was Miss Tennessee Teen 2018 and has been modeled in the past for Christian Siriano, Sherri Hill, Carolina Herrera, and Spanx. You may have heard of her in 2019 as she made a huge impression as a model at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show that year.
A Flawless Romantic Bride
We reached out to Sofie and to our luck – she was available! So we planned the whole photoshoot day with her in mind! Sofie was the flawless romantic bride on this beautiful sunny Florida day, with a stunning up ‘do and perfect makeup by Paulina Perez Makeup Artistry.

As this Luxury Southern Wedding Styled Shoot was being planned, we selected only vendors who had experience in luxury markets, whose work we connected with, and who were local to North Florida. Our goal was for the images to build their portfolios as well as ours!
The Gorgeous Dress
The White Magnolia Bridal Collection in Jacksonville, Florida was happy to provide two gorgeous dresses for our day, so we decided to use two bridal models! Sofie carried off Kelly Faetanin’s Ren gown to perfection, with its long sheer sleeves and open back. A stunning Kennedy veil by Toni Federici completed Sofie’s soft and elegant look.

We also got to showcase one of the popular Australian Designer “Made with Love”’s brand new additions, as model Jade gracefully donned the Elsie Flowy gown, accented by Untamed Petals’ Marin earrings. Her hair was kept down and curly except for a slight pull-up on one side, also fashioned by Paulina Perez Makeup Artistry.

The day before the Shoot was a little crazy! Driving around town picking up dresses, an amazing tuxedo, and florals for the cake made for an exciting day anticipating the beauty to come. The biggest challenge we had was the bumpy road to the Ribault Club the morning of the shoot, with a gorgeous cake sitting in my Jeep just beside me…but we made it with no dents whatsoever in that amazing cake! (see the photo below)
Colorful peach and neutral florals by Southern Blooms Floral Design were sprinkled throughout each setting. The head designer, Laura, created a peach and cream rose-filled arbor to display under a giant, moss-filled oak tree in the Ribault Club’s backyard, and we couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop for our models!

The Groom’s Tuxedo
Our groom for the day, Cole, looked dapper in dazzling custom ivory and black tuxedo, specially designed by the talented Daniel Motorca at The Tailor Shop, Jacksonville, FL, with boutonniere by Southern Blooms Floral Design. We loved the powerful contrast between the off-white jacket and the black pants, especially with the black panel and button details.

The Fine Details
Deckled edge invitations from The Write Touch in Jacksonville were the perfect style complement for our flat-lay workshop. The longstanding shop located in the San Marco area of Jacksonville offers a fun mix of all things communication and gifts, from custom stationery to home decor. These brilliant guys specialize in creating customized invitations for couples after they conduct a personal consultation.

Meanwhile, Robison Jewelry‘s gorgeous engagement ring and wedding bands brought a touch of elegance and luxury to our details. Robison Jewelry has been a staple of downtown Fernandina Beach, Florida, for 70 years! They are a family-owned business with a personal touch, and we loved partnering with them!
The Reception with the Perfect Wedding Cake
Our lovely reception was made complete by the perfect luxury southern wedding cake made by Nana Teresa’s Bake Shop. We can also testify that their cakes are absolutely delicious, and their downtown Fernandina Beach storefront offers the BEST cotton candy milkshakes! More florals by Southern Blooms Floral Design accented the backyard table along with elegant white china.
