A Charming Nature-Driven RV Styled Elopement Photo Shoot
This was a truly charming nature-driven RV (and Cannabis) styled Elopement Photo shoot. Here’s the short story of this lovely day…
Rio and Chad met on Hinge. Both were not looking for a long-term relationship because they were convinced this dating app would not bring that — as soon as they matched their love was inseparable.
They shortly after felt the urge to do tiny life and live in their RV full time adventuring and working on the go with their 2 dogs Nara and Luna. So, they are currently renovating their RV while spending time with family in Washington.
Nara loved to sleep and be a “homebody” while Luna is up adventuring all day. This is perfect for Rio and Chad as Nara will stay with relatives or hang in the RV while Luna goes on adventures with them.
Rio works as a Virtual Assistant for wedding vendors around the country and Chad quit his day job as an Amazon delivery man to pursue his dream of making a music album that’s heavily inspired by The Beatles.
Rio is originally from Canada but has moved all over the country. Chad is a Washington native. They currently have a home based near Seattle, WA while converting the RV.
Their Nature-Driven RV Styled Elopement Photo Shoot
How & why did you choose the venue/ location?
They love being outside, going on adventures/hikes, and the Washington Coast. I helped them choose two beaches that interested them.
What were the theme and vibe? And why?
It was a unique Cannabis styled/nature-driven and RV theme — they know how to let loose, be silly, and have fun together.
Rio also picked out her dress from Rue De Seine before even Chad knew — he ended up picking out his desired green Tweed Suit to match perfectly with her dress. Completely unplanned!
How did they choose their suppliers?
The only items aside from the dress are the Flowers, and these were from Trader Joe’s.
Did they DIY? If so, where did you go for inspiration and tutorials?
We went to Pinterest for floral arrangement inspiration and for Rio’s hairstyle.
How did the planning go? Who helped? How long did it take to plan? How did you organize & schedule?
It took us about 3 months to arrange and plan everything. I helped with organizing, making the schedule/timeline of the day, and arranging the details.
How was it to execute this Nature-driven Elopement Photo Shoot? What were the challenges?
One of the biggest challenges we faced was harsh light. We ended up finding the perfect shade spot with a gorgeous boulder as the background for the ceremony.
They also took this time of day to sit on the beach together and look for whales. We ended up seeing an otter playing in the ocean!
We also created the first look for Luna and Rio — she was of course incredibly happy to see her!
Their RV was super fun to shoot in as they had very retro curtains and unique mirrors – which they got ready in front of together.
We ended the day with some gorgeous golden hour light while they listened to music and danced with Luna. It was an amazing day!
