Adventurous Family Elopement in Colorado
I always tell couples to throw me their elopement day ideas and we’ll do our best to incorporate as many of those elements as we can. So when Matt and Brianna told me they wanted to do something adventurous by themselves but still keep their family involved, I came up with the perfect plan!
We started out on our solo adventure at 4 am when we started hiking in the dark to one of my favorite spots in Colorado. We arrived just before alpenglow where they started getting ready for their first look.

Getting photos of these moments was extra cool today because Matt was rocking his army uniform for their big day. This made for some amazing getting-ready photos!
Brianna also had an awesome dress for their adventure elopement and it was perfect for the backdrop of their first look and ceremony!

They shared a private first look right as sunrise was happening and then shared some private vows with the lake behind them. It was such a beautiful backdrop and looked amazing with their elopement outfits!
We then set up a picnic and explored the area for some couples photos before hiking back down to rest up before the family ceremony.
We met back up in the afternoon for the family ceremony just outside of Boulder. This was the perfect way to cap off their big day as their family still got to partake in their wedding and they had two different backdrops for their photos.
