We Love This NYC Urban Industrial Chic Wedding
This was a vivid and bold NYC Urban Industrial Chic wedding with high-end club vibes and tons of gorgeous luxury detail pieces! But the wedding also had some neat DIY features. The venue was upscale with brilliant neon accents contrasting against an old industrial factory!
How & why did you choose this wedding venue?
The feel of our wedding was definitely club meets, glam meets industrial! So this venue was perfect! When we walked into the cocktail hour space there were neon lights and champagne towers and it was set up like a high-end club in the city.
When we walked into the reception it was soft, and glamorous with beautiful flowers, yet very modern and industrial since we were overlooking the Bethlehem steel stacks. It was a dream!!
What was the theme? Why?
Josh is a country guy and Nina is a girly girl so they wanted the perfect blend of who they are in one huge party!
How did they choose their suppliers? Online, recommendations etc..?
We had several friends with skills we needed for their wedding (The stationary artist and the DJ) who we asked to be involved.
Other than that, we found our photographer on the Knot and our florist online. When we saw the florals, we just HAD to have Gail, because her flowers were really next level and I had never seen anything like them.
Flowers are very important to me! On our first phone call with our photographer Emil from Fern & Fountain Wedding Photography, we chatted for over an hour! She takes such time getting to know her clients, to quote her “If I don’t know who you are or what you care about, how can I photograph you?” Once she said that I knew she was the photographer for us!
Did you DIY?
One DIY aspect was stationary, but a friend did that for them, the bride did not do it herself. This is The stationary artist.
How did the planning work? Who helped? How long did it take to plan? How did they organize & schedule?
The venue had an all-inclusive package (came with all-inclusive planning, coordination, catering, and cake)
Any fears or worries about the day?
That it would go by too quickly, and it did, but it was perfect!!!
Things you wish you didn’t do or wish you had?
Nope!
Advice for future couples?
We chose instead of a gift, to donate to the semi-colon project and charity that is close to both of our hearts! I wanted to do the fun tradition of “something borrowed” so I wore my mother in laws bracelet as my something borrowed, she has really brought me in like her own daughter and it meant so much that I could wear it!
