According to Lisa Sansom, founder of event entertainment company RubyLemon, the trend towards immersive dining experiences has carried over into the wedding industry, with couples wanting to incorporate interactive performances such as mirror men, glitter painters, and dance performances.
RubyLemon is a leading event and wedding entertainment company based in London and San Francisco. The founders, Lisa Sanson and Holly Muldoon noticed a trend toward immersive and interactive entertainment at weddings.
Now, they offer a range of experiential entertainment options, including mirror men, glitter painters, and dance troupes, as well as traditional choices like live music and DJs with a twist, such as steel drum bands and Bollywood dancers. Lisa advises couples to think outside the box and choose entertainment that reflects their personalities and style.

“We’ve seen a real shift towards experiential entertainment at weddings,” Lisa says. “Couples want to create an unforgettable experience for themselves and their guests, and interactive acts are a great way to do that. They add an element of surprise and excitement, and really help to create a memorable occasion.”
In addition to these more novel entertainment options, traditional acts such as live music and DJs are still popular choices for wedding receptions. However, even these classic options are being given a modern twist, with couples opting for unique and diverse acts such as steel drum bands and Bollywood dancers.
