We Love This Star Wars Inspired Wedding in Ohio
It was a beautiful fall day for this couple’s Star Wars inspired wedding in Ohio!
Talk about a unique idea for a wedding! This couple’s beautiful fall Star Wars-inspired wedding was held just outside of Dayton, Ohio in mid-October. The trees had mostly all turned yellow and orange and provided the most amazing backdrop for their day.

The Star Wars Wedding Bouquet
We started the day getting ready with the bride and groom. The venue is also a bed and breakfast, and the bridal suite was in the B&B area. The bride had thought of the most unique details for her Star Wars wedding: a “bouquet” that was made with various Star Wars pieces placed together (something you can find on Etsy), adorable ring boxes that say, “I love you” and “I know,” and hand-made boutonnieres for the guys that were also Star Wars themed. The bridesmaids carried white lanterns with the famous Hans and Leia silhouettes.

The Star Wars Wedding Theme
The colors for their wedding were black and purple, which seemed to go so well with the overall Star Wars theme. The bridesmaids wore black, which looked so sharp up against the autumn trees.
The ceremony location was under some big, beautiful trees at the Ohio Barn venue. Talk about an ideal area for photos! The couple of course had Star Wars music playing as they walked down the aisle.

The Delicious Root Beer-flavored Whiskey
They had a short ceremony with their officiant dressed as a Jedi and their flower girl in a Star Wars dress. It was such a sweet moment between the two of them. During the ceremony, they also took shots of their favorite root beer-flavored whiskey – they swear it’s delicious and could only be found in Tennessee.

The Star Wars Wedding Centerpieces
After the ceremony, we took a few more photos of the family and the bride and groom, and then headed over to the reception. The reception hall, which is in the actual barn, was completely decked out with the Star Wars wedding theme. The table centerpieces were wine bottles decorated to match the theme, the cake had the death star on it, and the guest book was a flat-lay piece that had their names on it in the Star Wars font.

The Lightsabers
The couple served barbeque for dinner (which was great to match the super chill and relaxed vibe they wanted for their wedding!) There was lots of fun and dancing and once the sun started to set, that’s when the lightsabers came out for a staged exit. All guests were given one and were invited to join the bride and groom outside for additional photo opportunities.

Following the fun with their wedding guests, the couple opted for some sunset photos and to finish off the evening with the bridal party – the group took some fun photos themed from the movie posters and they were able to stage the perfect death grip photo with the bride and groomsmen! Overall, it was a beautiful fun day for this couple, and they incorporated a great DIY theme into their wedding.
