A little intro about the Couple…
We are Kyle and Zoe, we live in York and we love it there. Zoe works for the NHS while Kyle is in the wonderful world of Information Technology. We met way back in 2015 while Kyle was on a working trip to the UK from Australia and Zoe was just casually living her life in York. We managed to keep in touch long distance for a couple of years before Zoe bit the bullet and moved to Australia. We spent a year together in Melbourne before moving to York together and the rest is history!

How and why did you choose the Venue?
Kyle found Woodstock while traversing the internet and thought it seemed a nice venue so we went and had a look. What we found was a venue that had the perfect relaxed vibe for us and Janice was great in every aspect of planning the wedding. Couldn’t have found a better venue!

How did you allocate your budget?
We basically bought what we wanted to have the day that we wanted. Our taste isn’t too expensive so it wasn’t too stress inducing!
How many guests were invited?
Approximately 80 guests in all – we wanted more but COVID ruined any plans to have Kyles friends and relatives from Australia present!

Who made your dress? And accessories or shoes?
Bianco Evento – purchased from Brides of York.
Shoes – Lave and favour.

And the groom’s outfit?
The grooms outfit was carefully selected from the catalogue at Next!
How would you describe your wedding day in two sentences?
A whirlwind of fun, dancing, singing and laughing which the rain only made better!

What was the overall theme/vibe and why?
The theme was just a fun relaxed day full of music with friends and family.
How did you choose your photographer and other suppliers?
We chose our suppliers through recommendations from friends and Janice at the Venue.

How did the planning work? Who helped? How long it did take to plan?
Zoe took the lion share of the planning with Kyle looking after booking the band! Janice at the venue was incredibly helpful with getting everything sorted. We had to postpone once due to Covid and all our suppliers and the venue were super accommodating.
What was the entertainment, daytime and/or evening?
We had an acoustic live set straight after the ceremony with a full band in the evening. Southwest Band – Very good.

Any fears or worries about the day beforehand?
Covid provided plenty of anxiety!
Biggest surprise of the day? Or special moment or highlight? (or all three!)
All of it was great. There were some heartfelt messages from some friends and family in Aus which surprised Kyle and brought a tear or two to the room!
