The Most Fashionable & Modern Medieval Themed Wedding
Amanda and Hunter are harbingers of a spirited occasion. The two have known each other since high school, becoming close friends throughout college. Eventually, they both moved to California and fell in love. Years prior to their engagement, they threw a mock wedding with friends, which included a ceremony and celebration. Some might call it fate, but a few years after, they were engaged on the same family farm in Connecticut where they were originally “fake married.”
The Wilburton Inn, set in the grassy hillsides of Vermont, extended a historic setting for this lively Medieval-themed wedding. Largely inspired by the Medieval Times Dinner Theater company, the theme was a complete surprise to guests, who arrived to find a debaucherous night of merriment ahead.

Despite the costumes and Medieval flair, this historic mansion provided timeless photo ops and a stunning backdrop for the outdoor ceremony on the lawn. Without hiring a planner, the couple was able to DIY all the decor elements themselves. They created a theater-style tent, where golden goblet flower vases were set atop royal blue and gold linens.

The Grand Entrance
The couple’s grand entrance into the tent was by “chariot,” which Hunter expertly crafted from a tricycle and stuffed horse. The bride and groom chose sleek and modern styling for their ceremony looks but later enjoyed sporting their King and Queen robes for the grand entrance.

The night unraveled without boundaries as guests wore personalized crowns, dined from the hors d’oeuvres glory hole, and passionately sang along to the Prince cover band. In a flurry of spirited decor and on-theme details, Amanda and Hunter were able to pull off an indescribable wedding that let their own charisma lead the way.
