SAY GOODBYE TO SUMMER WITH THESE SPRING BRIDAL SHOWER IDEAS
Although England seems to be having yet another heat wave this week, dare I say it, I am still beginning to see the signs that summer is nearly over. The leaves on the silver birch tree outside my office window are starting to turn yellow and fall off the trees, the flowers are beginning to go over and the nights are drawing in. So in honor of summer, we are taking you back to an old April Shower inspired bridal shoot.
“The theme of this photo shoot was a play on the old proverb, ‘April Showers bring May flowers;’ Wedding planner, Robyn told us.
“The twist would be ‘April Bridal’ Showers bring May Weddings!'” She explained.
“The meaning behind this wise saying was everything happens for a reason, and that couldn’t be more true when it comes to planning for any wedding.”
“The styling was to take literal and figurative meanings. The mix of the shoot happening in April and the beautiful vintage umbrellas, hanging from the historic oak trees in New Orleans. We celebrated the abundance of Spring flowers in bloom with stunning florals on the table and bridal crown, not forgetting to mention the amazing head chair!”
“The real bride and her bridal party were so at ease during the shoot, and the fun they had clearly comes across in the pictures.”
Some more Tips Spring Bridal Shower Ideas
Forget the clichés and predictable pastels; we’re here to give you some unique spring bridal shower ideas that will make your event the talk of the town, or at least the talk of your group chat!
First up, why not embrace the literal “spring” in spring by hosting a garden party? But hold on, we’re not talking about your grandma’s tea party here. Picture this: a whimsical wonderland where you and your guests are surrounded by blooming flowers, vibrant greenery, and more fairy lights than you can shake a magic wand at. You can even set up a DIY flower crown station and challenge your friends to create the most outrageous, flower-topped headgear. The bride gets the honor of wearing the most extravagant creation all day. Talk about turning a bouquet toss into a bloomin’ good time!

Now, let’s talk about the menu. Ditch those tiny cucumber sandwiches; it’s time for a taco takeover! Spring calls for fresh, zesty flavors, and what better way to celebrate than with a build-your-own taco bar? Let your guests pile on the guac, salsa, and all the fixings. You can even have a friendly competition to see who can come up with the quirkiest taco creation. Will it be the bride with the pineapple salsa and shrimp combo or Aunt Sally with the spicy mango-chutney chicken? Let the taco wars begin!
And what’s a bridal shower without some unforgettable games? How about a scavenger hunt where the bride and her squad scour the garden for hidden treasures? But here’s the twist – instead of hunting for traditional treasures, they’re on the lookout for something blue (no, not the groom), something borrowed (ideally returned before the wedding), and something completely outrageous! The winner gets a golden crown – or at least a shiny paper one.
So, there you have it – some fresh, funny, and fabulous spring bridal shower ideas that will have everyone buzzing about your bridal bash. Just remember, it’s not about the size of the event or the grandeur of the decorations; it’s about celebrating love, laughter, and having a bloomin’ good time with your nearest and dearest. Cheers to the bride, the groom, and the tacos!
