Tyler and Lexi’s Heartfelt Western September Wedding at The Urban Cowboy in Nashville, TN

Rob and Emma have been together for 12 years so really wanted to create some serious party vibes to celebrate their wedding!
“We wanted a venue that was easy to get to for all of our relatives but also had a fun party vibe rather than a traditional wedding venue.” Emma began.
“Camp & Furnace sprung to mind and after learning that they did weddings, one quick visit and we were sold! We loved the industrial interiors and knew that they were experienced in throwing a good party, which is exactly what we wanted! We were also really excited about the variety of unique menu options that were offered at Camp & Furnace by Northern Fields, and the taster evening certainly didn’t disappoint!” She added.
“One of the things we loved most about Camp & Furnace is that the venue speaks for itself, especially the huge light up clouds, so we didn’t need masses of decorations. We are both designers though, so the little things really do matter to us and we really enjoyed designing all of the stationary, signage, beer mats and everything in-between! We had giant confetti balloons to compliment the colours on the stationary and then let the room and the gorgeous bright flowers do the rest.”
“We were recommended The Flower Farm in Lancashire when we were searching for a home grown supplier. We briefed our florist Claire and asked her to create loose bouquets in as many different bright colours and various textures as possible, and she did exactly that! We also purchased some buckets of flowers from them, which we both used to fill vintage tins and advertising milk bottles, to be clustered on the tables at the venue.”
“I love pattern and we both love colorful, classic prints so Liberty was the obvious choice for outfits. We thought the idea of mix and match would fit with the relaxed and fun vibe we were going for. I chose the full skirts to compliment my own style and original 1950’s wedding dress. The bridesmaids skirts and Rob’s bow tie were made by Etsy seller LittleGreyhound who was ever so helpful and patient with us whilst we made final decisions on exactly which two prints we loved the best (it was a pretty lengthy process!) I found my dress in the lovely Glory Days Bridal in York after swooning over their instagram account. The boys wore suits from Next, with Rob mixing and matching two colours of the same suit. Skip the dog also had a bow tie that matched Rob’s bow tie and my hair bow too!” Emma explained.
“We met our photographer Mike when we visited the National Wedding show in search of a photographer, and he instantly stood out to us. We loved everything about him, from his stand, his style of work & gorgeous albums and his personality when chatting to him. We definitely made the right decision and love every image from both the day and the pre-shoot in Southport. Mike is good fun and really easy to work with, we loved how his documentary style really captures the emotion and special moments of the whole day, every photo makes you feel happy and tells a story.”
“It was lovely to have Skip be a part of the day, but seriously the whole day from start to finish was so much fun and Mike captured that perfectly in all the photos, everyone had such a great time! Maria at Camp & Furnace was so organised, we can’t thank her enough for making sure the day ran smoothly and everything was in place, she also got us into the club night next door when we weren’t ready for the night to be over!”
“We had Hope Street Busking Band play us into the evening which everyone thoroughly enjoyed and really got the party started – they were fab! We also had a trolley of temporary tattoos that we’d designed for everyone to have fun with, our niece and nephew took it upon themselves to force wedding ink onto practically every guest and in turn, were the second form of entertainment (earning themselves £14.40 in tips too!)” She laughed.
“If I could impart any words of wisdom to a couple planning their marriage and wedding day now it would be to enjoy it! You hear so many people asking ‘was it worth it’ ‘did you miss this…’ ‘did you forget that…’ we didn’t! We took the time to enjoy every minute and although it goes by in a flash, we had so much fun and it was worth all the months of planning. (And you can always extend your evening by popping to a club afterwards like we did!)”
