I also wanted to bring diversity to the wedding scene in not the traditional sense that we think of American weddings. In Ghana, a bride’s attire often includes the Kente cloth, a handwoven fabric known for its bright, intricate pattern. The Kente is not just a piece of clothing but it is a symbol of history, philosophy, and ethics. Senegalese bridal attire is known for its vibrant and intricate embroidery, often featuring luxurious fabric such as silk and brocade.

The traditional attire is often accompanied by elaborate jewelry and headpieces that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Senegal. Nigerian brides often wear attire that showcases their cultural diversity, accompanied by coral beads and a gele (traditional headwrap).
Peach Fuzz, the pantone color of the year added a contemporary touch to traditional attire, creating a harmonious blend of old and new. The color has been seamlessly integrated into various elements of the wedding, from invitations to floral arrangements to bridal gowns and decor.
