Today’s tutorial is just as simple and effective and would make boo-tiful wedding decor if you were getting married around Halloween or fall.
YOU WILL NEED:
Pumpkins | Spray Paint, we used Rustoleum (in the colour of your choice, we used pink but we think white would also look great!) | A variety of fake flower heads | Hot Glue Gun |
Step 1:
Spray paint your pumpkins, (you might need two coats) and leave to dry.
Step 2:
Using your hot glue gun begin to attach your flower heads to the pumpkin and continue until you are happy with your design.
That’s all there is to it, how easy? Not that we need much of an excuse but I absolutely love getting creative for Halloween, I love the added challenge of thinking of bright and colorful DIY’s as opposed to the blacks and oranges, you tend to see this time of year. If your going to be throwing a party this weekend, don’t forget to try our Spookily Good Cocktail and our Marbled Chocolate Skulls, they are sure to win you major points with your ghoul gang. That’s all for our Halloween DIY’s this year but the festivities don’t stop there as we have a very cool Day of the Dead styled shoot to share with you on Monday.
We hope you all have a fun Halloween weekend and please let us know what you think of our floral pumpkins. Don’t forget to also tag #BESPOKEBRIDEDIY if you give any of our DIY’s a go. We love seeing your creations!
Other Unique FLORAL PUMPKIN DIY Ideas
Floral pumpkin DIY ideas are a beautiful twist on Halloween decor, perfect for creating seasonal displays that feel fresh, elegant, and anything but spooky. The concept? Using florals—whether fresh, dried, or faux—to decorate pumpkins in ways that blend autumn’s charm with bursts of color and texture. If you’re ready to put a creative spin on your fall decor, here are a few unique Floral Pumpkin DIY ideas to try!
1. Classic Pumpkin Vase
One of the easiest ways to start with Floral Pumpkin DIYs is to use a hollowed-out pumpkin as a vase. Choose a medium to large pumpkin and carve out the top, removing seeds and pulp. Place a mason jar or small vase inside the pumpkin to hold water, then arrange flowers in the vase for a lovely centerpiece. Chrysanthemums, dahlias, and marigolds are great autumn choices that bring a rich color palette to your display. This DIY looks fantastic as a table centerpiece or a festive entryway decoration.
Tip: If fresh flowers aren’t your thing, opt for dried flowers like pampas grass, bunny tails, or eucalyptus. They’ll add a vintage, textured look, and you won’t have to worry about them wilting.
2. Painted Floral Patterned Pumpkins
If you’re in the mood for a long-lasting display, paint a pumpkin with floral designs instead of carving it. Start by painting the entire pumpkin a base color—white, pastel pink, or sage green works well. Once dry, paint floral motifs over it using acrylic paints. Think small roses, daisies, or even abstract flower shapes if you’re feeling whimsical. The beauty of this Floral Pumpkin DIY is that it combines painting with floral themes, allowing you to create a one-of-a-kind pumpkin that can even work as part of a Halloween display with a delicate, artistic touch.
Pro Tip: Use a stencil or transfer paper if you want precise designs but are unsure of your freehand painting skills. This lets you create intricate floral details with ease.
3. Succulent and Floral Top Pumpkins
For this design, you’ll place succulents and flowers on top of the pumpkin for a lush, earthy display. To start, use floral glue to attach a layer of preserved moss on the pumpkin’s top, providing a natural base for arranging succulents and small flowers. Then, attach succulents, small blooms, and accents like acorns or mini pinecones to create a mini garden on top. This Floral Pumpkin DIY has a natural, layered look and works beautifully as decor for both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Why Succulents? Succulents are hardy and low-maintenance, making this arrangement last well past Halloween. Plus, the combination of lush greens and warm autumnal blooms adds a unique contrast that’s simply striking.
4. Floral Pumpkin Garland
For a more ambitious Floral Pumpkin DIY, try creating a pumpkin garland by combining mini pumpkins with flowers. Use small pumpkins—real or faux—and attach dried or faux flowers to their tops. Thread them together on a sturdy piece of twine, interspersing pumpkins with extra foliage like olive leaves or small branches. This garland can be hung on mantels, staircases, or outdoor fences, adding a touch of elegance to any space.
Suggestion: Mix in small fairy lights along the garland for a magical evening glow. It’s a perfect setup for Halloween parties or cozy nights in!
5. Pumpkin and Floral Candle Holder
Another elegant idea is to turn a medium pumpkin into a floral candle holder. Carefully carve a shallow well into the top of a small pumpkin to hold a tea light or small pillar candle. Then, arrange small flower stems and greenery around the base of the candle. The result? A romantic, candle-lit floral display perfect for an intimate Halloween dinner or as a decorative accent on your Halloween buffet table.
6. Floral Embellished Mini Pumpkins
If you love the idea of Floral Pumpkin DIY but prefer something smaller, try floral-embellished mini pumpkins. Use faux flower heads or press small dried flowers onto mini pumpkins using floral glue. Cluster a few of these around your home, or place them on individual place settings for a Halloween-themed dinner party. They’re quick, simple, and add a lovely touch to any fall display.
Tip: For a fragrant touch, include sprigs of dried lavender or rosemary. The scent will add an unexpected sensory element to your decor, which guests are sure to appreciate.

Floral Pumpkin DIY ideas are perfect for those who want to elevate their Halloween decor with a touch of beauty. From grand, centerpiece-worthy displays to small and sweet accents, these projects offer an endless range of possibilities. Plus, they bring together the warmth of fall colors and textures with the unexpected charm of floral details. So, gather your pumpkins and flowers, and let your creativity bloom this Halloween!
