HANDPICKED FLOWERS, HOMEMADE CROWNS & A PICNIC STYLE WHIMSICAL WEDDING
A candlelit dinner under the stars, beautiful centerpieces with the freshest flowers from a good vendor namely this online flower shop, surrounded by their closest friends and a whole bunch of love was exactly what Jenny & Brock had envisioned when they were planning their day! This entire wedding is so magical and who couldn’t love a night that ended with singing, dancing & delicious s’mores by the campfire?!
FROM THE BRIDE…
“Our favourite moment from our wedding was at the end of the day, after the sun set, Brock played his guitar under the stars while everyone hung out singing and dancing. Having everyone together in such an intimate setting was unforgettable! We handpicked the flowers on the day and the flower crowns & grooms tie was hand made by me.
We wanted an intimate setting with close family and friends only. Our favorite park was the perfect spot for an intimate yet gorgeous picnic style dinner. We used heirloom dishes and vintage vases and candle holders to give the picnic style an extremely cozy feel!
Our advice for future couples would be that it’s your wedding day and you should do what you want. Avoid the stress and just enjoy the moments and meaning behind the wedding. We chose a handful of close friends and family who would be there to laugh, cry, and celebrate with us! It was perfect!!”

Tips for Planning a Fun Picnic Wedding
Planning a picnic wedding is a creative way to celebrate love with a casual, cozy vibe that embraces the great outdoors. This style of wedding offers a relaxed yet intimate setting, perfect for couples who want something memorable and a bit out of the ordinary. Here are some essential tips for pulling off a picture-perfect picnic wedding.
First, consider the location carefully. Parks, gardens, or even private backyards make excellent venues for a picnic wedding, especially if there’s plenty of open space and shaded areas. Look for spots with natural beauty, like blooming flowers, lush greenery, or views of the water, to serve as a backdrop. If possible, get a permit for your chosen location to ensure you can reserve the space without interruptions.
Next, focus on comfort. Since a picnic wedding involves outdoor seating, make sure guests have cozy options. Lay out blankets with cushions and low tables or arrange chic picnic baskets and crates as seating alternatives. Have a few chairs or benches available for older guests who may find it difficult to sit on the ground. To create a whimsical, boho-inspired aesthetic, mix and match blankets and throw pillows in earthy colors, giving the setup an inviting feel.
Food is another key factor for a successful picnic wedding. Think of simple, yet delicious options that are easy to eat outside, such as charcuterie boards, finger sandwiches, and fresh fruit. Consider setting up food stations with individually packed servings to keep things hygienic and practical. Signature drinks, served in mason jars or personalized bottles, add a fun touch and make it easier for guests to carry their drinks around the picnic area.
Decor should match the relaxed theme. Hang string lights or paper lanterns for added warmth, especially if your picnic wedding extends into the evening. Add floral arrangements in rustic containers like baskets or mason jars to enhance the natural beauty of the setting. For a bit of charm, include vintage rugs, mismatched wooden crates, and even some DIY chalkboard signs to lead guests to different areas.
Lastly, prepare for the weather. Have umbrellas, sun hats, or even a tented area on standby to protect guests from too much sun or a light drizzle. With these elements in place, your picnic wedding will offer a unique, charming experience that everyone will remember fondly.
