On a perfect fall afternoon, October 17th, 2024, Liz and Jeff Iansiti celebrated their love in a stunning ceremony at the Chicago Illuminating Company. Surrounded by family and friends, the couple’s special day was a true reflection of their personalities, featuring gothic undertones, vibrant fall florals, and touches of their love for cannabis, which their guests were able to enjoy. The Love Story
Liz and Jeff met in the most fitting way: bartending at a music festival in Lincoln Park during the summer of 2019. While both were interested, it was Liz who slid into Jeff’s DMs months later, inviting him to her birthday party. That night, Jeff asked her out, and their first date followed in January 2020. Just weeks later, the world went into lockdown, and their dates turned into long walks in the park, where Jeff introduced Liz to the Marvel franchise. They spent their first holidays together, far from family but starting traditions of their own.

After nearly five years, a couple of dogs, and countless shared festival memories, Jeff proposed to Liz at their favorite Chicago music festival, Riot Fest—a perfect full-circle moment for a love story born in the heart of the city.
Ceremony & Reception Highlights
Liz and Jeff’s wedding took place on a crisp October day at the Chicago Illuminating Company, beginning with an intimate ceremony under the atrium. Liz stunned in a black Jenny Yoo dress with a blusher veil and rose-stitched Doc Martens, while Jeff rocked a burgundy suit and Vans high tops.
After the ceremony, the atrium was transformed into a chic, relaxed reception with sage green velvet curtains, cozy furniture from Bowery & Bash, and stunning florals by Marsh Marie Floral. Guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres, food stations, and a cannabis bar by High Minded Events, all set to a DJ spinning house music. Forgoing traditions like assigned seating or speeches, Liz and Jeff created a celebration as unique and fun as they are.

Guests enjoyed a joint-packing station with custom take-home joint tubes featuring the couple’s wedding date, adding a unique and personal touch. After their wedding, Liz and Jeff took their first trip to Vegas, spending a fabulous and relaxing week at Mandalay Bay, lounging by the pool and exploring the Strip. They are currently in the process of buying a home in their beloved Humboldt Park neighborhood in Chicago and are excited to fill it with even more dogs!
