Weddings may not be as we imagined them this year but one thing for sure is that couples and suppliers aren’t any less creative when it comes to styling their big day. Today’s celestial inspired shoot is equal parts romantic and intimate with some dashes of whimsy.
“Hosted at the Brik venue this gorgeous industrial venue is in Fort Worth, Texas. With exposed brick (hence the name) and gorgeous white wood panels throughout, the venue is the perfect blank canvas where couples are able to transform the space based on their vision.” Began photographer, Leah.
“Emily and Jessica are a real couple, which always makes photographing them so much more special. Even though Emily was wearing a different dress than the one she’ll be wearing for her November wedding, Jessica was still so emotional seeing her lady all dressed up. We had a “first look” of sorts and it was the sweetest moment.” She explained.
“The ethereal and lucid vibe was echoed throughout the shoot from Emily’s handmade star themed headpiece to the marbled cake to the unique blue florals used in the flower installation. We kept the colour palette to a deep blue with velvet and satin, like a deep a whimsical celestial night sky.”
“I encourage couples to think outside the box and I think inspirational shoots like this one are a fun way to do that! Start with a unique cake design that will wow your guests, it could be inspired by a piece of art or a decorative piece. You could also incorporate infrequently used colours into your floral design, like blues. Or choose a venue that enhances your view and decorative choices rather than distracting! But above all else, have fun- it’s your wedding day after all!!”
