DREAMY MOON AND STAR WEDDING INSPIRATION
The night sky was particularly special last night as the moon and Mars were the closest, they had been in the night sky for some time. But stargazers will be as equally amazed by todays celestial-inspired wedding ideas with a dreamy outdoor feel that brings the moon and stars down to earth.
Set in the Milagro Winery, a vineyard east of San Diego with rolling hills, sweeping views and wide-open vistas, the theme of this shoot was outdoor celestial. From the moon and star details in the stationary to the white and dark blue colour palette, everything is inspired by the magical night sky.
“We incorporated lots of sparkles to fit the celestial theme and really leaned into the old-Italian outdoor feel of the venue, with its warm, rich, ethereal tone.” Began photographer, Amanda.
“Milagro is rooted in traditional winemaking, and they have multiple spots that make the perfect ceremony location. Up in the mountains, they get an amazing sunset view every day, and walking the grounds there really feels like a true outdoor Italian experience. It makes an amazing wedding venue because it provides lots of options for truly amazing photos.” She explained.
“All the vendors involved were really open to experiment and try something new with us. When Megan and I were planning the shoot, we were thinking of all the places we could add in moons and stars to make the whole thing feel like it was out of a dream. From candle holders to the name cards, the signs (“Written in the stars”), even the bride’s makeup (she had glitter stars on her face and in her hair).”
“Shooting later into the evening and at the golden hour accented the dream-like feel. I wanted it to be classic, in that the bride and groom were wearing the traditional black and white, so that those details really popped.”
“If there is something that is really special to you, the way that moons are to me, then add them into your wedding wherever you can. It can be the smallest details into your arch, or on the name cards, but tying in the things that you are inspired by and are meaningful to you even in the smallest ways can help your wedding feel so much more special.”
