Off The Record: Feeling Inspired & Uplifted!

As the end of an amazing week draws in I can’t help but feel a little sad that it’s over! You see, we kicked off the week by heading up to London to attend the Blogcademy reunion and I don’t think either me or Em anticipated just how fabulous and inspiring it would be! Of course we knew it would be fun, but we didn’t expect to leave London feeling so heart warmed, driven and excited! We met some AMAZING women and got to catch up with old friends! It all began in Emily Fisher’s car…we were accompanied by the lovely Sofia Bianca while the 2 hour journey to London was filled with energy drinks, (attempted) Instagram videos & a little bit of singing! When we finally got to Wagamamas, the beautiful Jane from She Is The Revolution sat herself down opposite us, what a breath of fresh air Jane was! Once we’d devoured our noodles and curries it was time for a group photo and then we said our goodbyes to Gala, Kat & Shauna and headed into a pub for a couple of hours! We were accompanied by the loveliest and talented couple in the biz: Craig & Veronica. We absolutely love spending our time with these two, not just because they are so inspiring and happy but because they really believe in us and it means the world that they’re so supportive! Other fabulous bloggers we caught up were Xandra Burns from Fashionably Light, Georgina from Ruby Weddings & we briefly got to see Sophie from the ever amazing Crown & Glory! You know, it sounds cheesy but I had such a moment in that pub where I just glanced around at everyone chatting and I felt so at home! I finally feel like I’ve found something I’m truly passionate about and love doing!

I could talk about the Blogcademy reunion all day but I better stop there otherwise this really will turn into a novel! Here’s what else we’ve been getting up to and loving around the web this week…

Jess Loves:

♥ Spending an amazing day with tons of beautiful bloggers! (obviously!)

♥ Visiting Georgina for some make up tutorials and getting to spend more time with her gorgeous new kitten, Ophelia!

♥ Watching Coach Carter. I’ve seen it before and it always makes me cry at the end when Sammy L is giving his motivational speech!

♥ Feeling like having a binge day so going to Tesco and buying a box of luxury chocolate to indulge in! #naughty

♥ Going to Nan’s to pick up tomatoes and ending up staying for breakfast, cups of tea and biscuits! Gotta love Nan’s!

Emily Loves:

♥ I know Jess has already said but getting to spend the day with all the fabulous bloggers that Jess met whilst at the Blogcademy was so much fun and so inspiring. What was so good about it was that I felt like I knew so many of them already. Everyone made me feel totally welcome and I couldn’t thank Kat, Gala and Shauna enough for inviting me as an honorary graduate.

♥ I must admit I was struck down this week with the lurgy so I did spend a fair bit of it feeling sorry for myself, but getting to spend a whole day in my pyjamas and eating lots of junk food certainly made me feel a little better 😀

♥ Having a manicure – I don’t regularly have any treatments done so this was a rare treat and I loved every minute of being pampered!

♥ Kittens!!!! I can only describe two of my friends as knights in shining armour this week. When travelling back on a dark, busy road they spotted 3 kittens that had been dumped on the side of the road. It took them over 2 hours hunting through brambles, as the kittens scarpered when they were approached, but they managed to rescue every single one. Although I am so proud of their kind hearts and I am also saddened that this still happens, it takes nothing to take them to a vet or sanctuary where they would be looked after and giving home, I will never understand such heartlessness?

♥ I am probably going to sound really sad but is anyone else really enjoying the slightly colder days and darker nights – I don’t know about you but I love to be all cosy just as much as I love the long hot summer days.
