Off The Record: A Night of Luxury at the Ritz

WOW! What a week it has been!! We are on cloud 9 after being recognised as a ‘Highly commended’ DIY wedding blog at the Wedding blog awards this week. The evening was held at the Ritz in London and oh my gosh what an astounding place it is! I have never seen anything so grand. The ceilings were covered in the most spectacular works of art and everything just looked all shiny and golden. We met so many wonderful people on the night and all though we didn’t win an award the night was honestly perfect. Myself and Jess have said all along that we have been honoured just to have been nominated as we aren’t even two years old yet so we really are proud of this achievement.

Of course we wouldn’t have had this amazing opportunity if it wasn’t for all of our amazing readers so really this award goes to you guys for being so fabulous and making us want to write and create just for you, you are all our inspirations so a huge thank you. We would also love to thank the guys over at Wedding magazine for hosting this amazing event, the ritz for your gorgeous venue and all the other bloggers who made the night such fun. Not forgetting to also thank all the sponsors who contributed to our wonderful goodie bags full of pretty things like jewellery, make-up and my favourite, CUPCAKES!!!!

♥ Champagne!! I would be lying if I told you that I didn’t get a little tipsy at the wedding blog awards.

♥ Canapes!! I wish I had someone in my house that would constantly bring me little nibbles and top up my wine glass.

♥ Mark Francis! My secret is out – I am actually a ‘Made in Chelsea’ fan so I was extra excited to find out he was the host of the wedding blog awards. He did not disappoint and was in fact a great host and had us giggling many a time.

♥ Our Little Love notes started this week and I think it is such a cute concept. The idea came about on our trip to London this week when a lovely gentleman helped Jess with her bags on the tube. We are all guilty of being caught up in our busy lives and often forget to tell people why we appreciate or love them so we designed little love notes. All you guys have to do is share with us what it is you love about your loved ones and then we will create these cute badges for you to share all over social media. You might just make someones day…

♥ As the days start to cool there is nothing better than wrapping up warm and heading out for a walk in those crispy leaves which is exactly what myself and Mr T did last weekend. We enjoyed the day at Westonbirt Arboretum and it was just beautiful as all the leaves had started to turn golden. I really would recommend taking a trip there this Autumn.

♥ Well even though Emily has already said, I couldn’t not list how amazing the wedding blog awards were at The Ritz! It was literally like something out of a movie when we arrived there, we were mesmerised!

Ordering a dominoes pizza after the awards & after party to eat in our hotel room bed while we excitedly rummaged through our goodie bags!!

♥ Getting our stall sorted for the Designer Vintage Bridal show! This was our first wedding show exhibiting since we had rebranded so we had lots of fun creating a colourful and vibrant style stand! We had a backdrop covered with ribbon and frames then we filled our table with a few of our DIYs!

♥ Having spaghetti bolognaise ready on the table after a long journey back from London! Hello garlic bread!

♥ My sister passing her driving test!! I couldn’t be more proud of her the little star! And now the payback begins….taxi? No thanks! I’ve got a lift!
