Off The Record: Cornwall, Crowns and Cooking up Romance!
Wow this week has been bumper packed with lots of fun and exciting things! Myself, Jess and Emily from Fishee Designs made the four hour journey down to Cornwall to visit Sophie and Gareth from Crown and Glory, where we were also joined by Megan McMinn from Briar Rose. I think I speak for all of us when I say this was a much needed trip, although there was an element of work we also took time to relax and just be girly, painting our nails, eating good food and drinking too much wine! We have posted a few sneak peeks of what we got up to on Instagram and you can also see a video of just some of our antics here and here!

♥ High tea with Helen from The Wedding Bazaar. Helen and her husband were visiting the area so it felt only right that we should gatecrash their date. There may have also been an embarrassing experience where we may or may not have walked out of the establishment without paying #awkward! Honestly we were so wrapped up in conversation we didn’t even realise! Luckily Helen realised our mistake and saved the day!
♥ Road Tripping with Emily from Fishee Designs! Sing-a-longs, naughty food and general girly chatter makes for one happy Emily!
♥ Getting to visit Crown and Glory HQ for the first time was certainly a huge highlight this week. We did lots of snooping and lots of trying on, I must say being in Sophie and Gareth’s office was my Mecca and I loved it!
♥ Valentines Day! This year Mr T and I celebrated the most loved up day of the year at home where he cooked a romantic meal for two. I have to say it was very scrummy and I have hinted he should do way more cooking from now on.
♥ Receiving thoughtful Valentines cards from friends. We should tell all our friends how much we love them once in a while and what better day than Valentines day when all love should be celebrated!
Jess Loves…
♥ Spending valentines day doing a spot of shopping! One of my best friends Birthday is actually on Valentines Day so we had a girly day in the afternoon then I came home for a romantic evening after!
♥ Speaking of which, was sooooo lovely! James had transformed his entire room into an Italian restaurant scene, there were rose petals everywhere, a table set up with the menus on, italian music playing in the background and fairy lights completing the scene! It really was perfect.
♥ Lobster & fresh pasta. This was the main course I chose for our valentines meal and it blew me away! Out of this world delicious, 5 stars to James for nailing an authentic Italian meal that we actually ate in Rome together! (he found the recipe on the restaurant’s menu bless him, how thoughtful!)
♥ As Emily mentioned, seeing Helen from The Wedding Bazaar was so lovely! We went to the Tudor Farmhouse which I had never eaten in before and OMG it was amazeballs! I had this delicious lemon, creme frais, & spinach tagliatelle!
♥ Making videos for our YouTube channel! While we were down with Sophie from Crown & Glory it was totally crazy doing lots of filming! Luckily for you we have some pretty awesome videos coming your way including the road trip down to Cornwall, the crown & glory office (eek!) , a three way not my arms drunk challenge (seriously. It’s probably best if you don’t ask) and a DIY with Crown & Glory too! It’s so easy to do so much when work feels like play!
♥ Eating Emily’s spaghetti Bolognese! YUUUM!! I’m surprised I even like it because it’s 100% vegetarian but I can honestly say it’s one of the best spaghetti Bolognese’s I ever tasted! (jeez can you tell I like pasta?! I’ve mentioned it 3 times in my loves this week! lol! This girl loves carbs let me tell ya!)

♥ And finally this week I have been totally inspired by the strength of this fabulous actress. Many of you will have have seen news stories all over the internet and papers about Ellen Pages exclusive announcement at this weeks Las Vegas Human Rights Campaign. I can only imagine how scary this must of been for her, especially being so public, but this girl seriously ripped the lid off it and I hope that those struggling with the issues she mentions in this amazing speech find strength from her courage.
Have an awesome week folks!
Much Bespoke Love
