I Love Women.
No, this isn’t a post about me suddenly proclaiming that I’ve decided to date women now a days, this is a post about how us women are amazing creatures! I truly am so inspired and look up to so many ladies in my life and I think it’s about time it’s celebrated. Sadly I think that women are often overlooked purely because they are women and it’s time that came to an end.
I was watching a Beyoncé documentary the other day and she said in the interview:
“Women have to work much harder to make it in this world, it really pisses me off that women don’t get the same opportunies as men do, or money for that matter, because let’s face it, money gives men the power to run the show. It gives men the power to define our values and to define what’s sexy and what’s feminine. And that’s bullshit. At the end of the day, it’s not about equal rights, it’s about how we think. We have to reshape our own perception of how we view ourselves. We have to step up as women and take the lead, and reach as high as humanly possible. That’s what I’m gonna do, that’s my philosophy, and that’s what girls is all about.”
And I literally couldn’t agree more! As modern as the world is we live in I think it’s absolutely crazy how there are women out there that are not viewed as equal to men, in whatever profession they may be in.
I feel truly blessed to be in an industry that is mostly dominated by females. Some people may feel threatened by so many powerful women around them all of the time but I can honestly say I find it so empowering and inspirational! Looking up to these independent women that have made amazing careers for themselves is so exciting!
I’m not saying there’s a lack of inspirational men out there, far from it, I just think us women need some dam deserved credit some times for being such bloody brilliant multi-taskers with awesome drive! There’s so much pressure on women, and I think as girls, we put a lot of unneccesary pressure on ourselves too, it’s time we celebrated the wonderful things about ourselves instead.
There really isn’t anything that compares to an inspirational woman. So this post is for all you fabulous ladies out there who’s working hard towards your dreams whilst holding down absolutely everything else in your life! YOU ARE AWESOME.
Who run the world? Girls.
Much Bespoke Love

Great post! It’s funny you should say about the wedding industry being dominated by women, though, as I’ve felt, for a long time, that wedding photography is a largely male industry but, in recent years, there have been some absolutely amazing women changing the face of the profession.
And now I have that song in my head! 🙂
