Off The Record: Posing, Partying & Pretty New Dresses

There seems to be a pattern with me writing Off The Record in bed. I swear, I do get up on weekends! But you see, last night was my sister’s 18th Birthday party so as you can imagine there was plenty of dancing, an abundance of cocktails and maybe one too many photo booth appearances from Me & Em! Hey, you know how much we love a photo booth!

Here’s what else we’ve been loving this week:

Jess Loves:

♥ Finally giving Lyd her birthday present! I made her a DVD with footage of her whole life, right from when she was born all the way up until now. It took a lot of time and I had to watch so many home movies (which is obviously really funny anyway!!) and it was honestly so nice seeing it all come together in the end! She loved it!

♥ Baking cakes with Nan, my Nan literally makes the best chocolate cake in the world and this week we made a four tier version of it and I got to decorate it with edible gold glitter and pretty cake toppers!

♥ James cooking me anchovy tagliatelle, I think this is my new favourite meal now. Actually I don’t think, it wins hands down!! YUM!

♥ Having a bath. Haha that sounds weird but I’m more of a have a nice quick (ish) hot shower kind of girl, so when I do make a special point of having a bath I really go to town with candles, bubble bath and a completely chilled out mind!

♥ Buying a new dress for the party last night! I really have to refrain myself from buying new clothes a lot of the time because I should put the money to better use but every now and then, when there’s a special occasion, you can bet your ass I’m gonna be purchasing a lovely new number!

Emily Loves:

♥ Paolo Nutini’s new album – I have been singing along to it all week in the office, it’s so good!

♥ Clothes swapping! All the fun of wearing something new without having to fork out the bucks!

♥ Box fit! Did I really just say that? I have been having so much fine trying out a whole host of new classes at the gym these last couple of weeks and I definitely think Boxfit has to be one of my favourites. It’s great for getting rid of all your tension and frustration!

♥ Jess coming to mine for our weekly meeting and cooking one of my favourite lunches, tuna pasta salad! Thats right even when she comes to mine I make her cook for me, I have her trained well, LOL!

♥ Sex on the Beach! Of course I mean the drink! I had a few too many at Lyd’s 18th last night but it really got me in the mood for cocktails on the beach. Bring on the Maldives!
