A Disneyland Engagement: Jenny & Daniel
As Walt Disney once said “If you can dream it, you can do it” and that is exactly what today’s super cute couple did. Jenny and Daniel are two fun loving, Disney dreaming thespians with one huge thing in common, they are Disney super fans. Donning their favourite Disney t shirts the couple headed off with photographer Katie from Katherine Rose Photography to the one place in the world where dreams really can come true…
I would like to introduce groom to be Daniel to tell you a little bit more…
Jenny and I are thespians, and love disney! We have been together for almost 4 years, so, with us being so involved with theatrics, I figured Disneyland would be perfect. We wanted somewhere that matched our personalities, and that would match our relationship. We absolutely love the disney atmosphere, with the people, the rides, everything! We wore our favorite disney shirts, and stopped for our favourite drink, mint juleps! I’m so grateful that I got to shoot at a place that means so much to us, and Katie of Katherine Rose Photography captured everything beautifully. We absolutely are in love with the final photographs!!
Don’t they just make your heart melt! I would love to go to Disneyland! I happen to know one lucky disney loving lady who will be marrying there next year, I wonder if she would take me in her suitcase?
Why a Disneyland Engagement is Such a Great Idea
What can beat a castle backdrop, the scent of cotton candy in the air, and the sound of childhood melodies swirling around you? This isn’t just any castle; it’s Cinderella’s, and you’re not just any visitor—you’re about to ask the love of your life to marry you. A Disneyland engagement is like sprinkling fairy dust on a moment already magical; it’s the pixie dust that turns a ‘yes’ into a ‘YES!’
Now, let’s waltz through the pros and cons, shall we? On the plus side, Disneyland is the epitome of joy and nostalgia. It’s a place where “happily ever after” isn’t just a tagline; it’s a tangible experience. The ambiance is infectious, and let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want Mickey and Minnie as their unofficial wedding witnesses?
But, there’s a flip side to this Disney coin. Crowds can be a beast, and I’m not talking about the lovable kind from ‘Beauty and the Beast.’ Finding that intimate moment can be like searching for a hidden Mickey—challenging but not impossible. And let’s not forget the cost; Disneyland isn’t nicknamed ‘The Wallet’s Lament’ for nothing.
I’ve seen engagements that could outshine any Disney parade float. Like the couple who got engaged in front of Sleeping Beauty’s castle, right as the fireworks painted the sky with a kaleidoscope of colors. Talk about timing! Then there was the pair who rode ‘Splash Mountain,’ and as they descended the big drop, out came the ring. Surprise? Check. Suspense? Double-check.
Yet, for all its grandeur, Disneyland engagements aren’t for everyone. Some prefer a quiet, private moment, away from the prying eyes of Pluto and pals. But for those who dream in shades of Disney, it’s a wish upon a star that promises to deliver.
Reflecting on these stories, I’ve learned that the ‘perfect’ engagement is as unique as the couple themselves. It’s not about the where or the how; it’s about the who and the why. Disneyland might just be the setting where your own fairy tale begins, complete with a soundtrack and a cast of characters ready to cheer you on.
So, if your heart beats to the rhythm of a Disney drum, and you’re ready to make that grand romantic gesture, then why not at Disneyland? After all, it’s where dreams come true, and your engagement story could be the next great tale in the Disney anthology. Just remember, as you bend the knee and the crowd gasps in delight, this is one ride you’ll want to remember forever—fastpasses not required.
