Off The Record: Halloumi, Hen Parties & Happy Times!

Happy Sunday beauts! Hopefully you’re having a fun bank holiday weekend despite the miserable weather! We had planned to go canoeing yesterday but with the amount of rain that fell out of the sky yesterday we were pretty relieved we didn’t end up going! We did have a busy & awesome week regardless though, filming YouTube videos and trying out hen party kits!

Here’s what else we’ve been getting up to and loving this week…

Jess Loves:

♥ Spending the morning in Bristol with Emily from Fishee Designs, we headed to Objets De Desir to film a YouTube video then headed off to a quirky Indian restaurant for lunch! We also got to meet her adorable new puppy called Puggy!

♥ Cooking up new dinner ideas with James, we had an amazing halloumi salad this week with lime juice and peppers, SO YUM!

♥ Having our friends from London come down and visit us for the weekend, we had such a chilled weekend and caught up over a BBQ and a few drinks!

♥ Being sent an awesome hen party kit from Working Clasp! We invited Emily Fisher over again and Laura from Laura Power photography to try it out with us and we had so much fun making our own name necklaces and chooses our charms!

♥ Receiving this months Birch Box! I was really impressed with the goodies this time, especially since it included some Liz Earle and some fabulous coloured nail varnish! It’s such a lovely treat through the mail!

Emily Loves:

♥ Taking Jess and Emily (Fishee Designs) to the Objets De Desir shop in Bristol. I am such a huge fan of the store and have been banging on about how they should visit for months now, so it was nice to finally be able to share it with them!

♥ Finally catching up with Vampire Diaries – my dirty little secret!

♥ Date day at Tampopo with Mr T! My favourite restaurant in the whole wide world!

♥ Having Emily (Fishee Designs) & Laura (Laura Power Photography) for lunch and a spot of Youtube filming. We got to try out one of the Working Clasp home hen kits which was a lot of fun. Keep an eye out for the video next month. Did I mention Emily brought her cute little puppy ‘Puggy’ with her too, he is just the cutest puppy ever! With all these puppys around i’m getting kinda puppy broody – is that a thing?

♥ Talking of fabulous stores I was able to catch up with Ed and Cass from Dig Haushizzle this weekend. They were filling me in all their latest news including being featured in numerous magazines and even a tv feature! If you are looking for stylish antiques this is seriously the place to visit, these guys have done one hell of a job with their store and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough! Their blog is also pretty darn cool with house tours and book reviews – check it out!!
