A Shabby Chic Champagne Brunch Wedding: Jeannine & Gib
When a bride describes her wedding as ‘shabby chic’ and ‘ Anthropologie style’ you know you are going to be in for a treat! Lets start with Jeannine’s absolutely gorgeous dress! In my opinion we don’t see enough mini wedding dresses, this beautiful lace number has the most amazing low back and bow detail and I am just so so so so in love with it!
Next there’s the stunning DIY decor, mason jars filled with homemade goodies, an antique armoire filled with sweet treats, recycled window panes for a seating plan and a cute childs bar set up on the back of a truck. Mix that with lawn games for entertainment and tractor rides and I think you have the recipe for one pretty darn fun wedding day.
Lastly, I need to congratulate Gib for growing a moustache that even Yosemite Sam would be proud of. I had to show Mr T, who is forever trying to grow a decent beard and I think I might have just caught a glimmer of moustache envy – is there such a thing?
Photographer Liz filled us in on the details of the day…
“Jeannine and Gib had a very unique vision for their Champagne Brunch Wedding Reception in Winnie, TX at Bauer Ranch. Jeannine described her vision for the day as “Shabby-Chic/Anthropologie Style.” The already beautiful backdrop was decorated using golds, creams, greys and French blue as accents, including a customized pie armoire which Jeannine painted herself. The reception was truly unique to Jeannine and Gib’s styles. The homemade place cards, mason jars filled with pear butter, fig preserves, and other goodies, and the adorable DIY pennants all worked together cohesively to create a sophisticated and laid-back ambiance for everyone in attendance. The family-style brunch was perfectly scrumptious, catered by Katharine and Company, not to mention the to-die-for selection of pies!
Gib surprised everyone before heading to the reception by shaving his handlebar mustache—what a shock! This became just another truly unique detail adding to the excitement of the day. One oh-so-sweet detail adding to the sentiments was the collection of black-and-white photos framed along the tree trunks of other generations of true loves. Jeannine’s mother worked very hard on the table settings, and personalized even the vintage blue truck found at Bauer Ranch by using the tailgate as a kids’ bar, stocked with water, orange juice, and apple juice. This intimate family celebration also had plenty to do for the kids, and incorporated lovely outdoor games to keep the little ones entertained. Vicki Bauer, the owner at Bauer Ranch, even provided the children with a ride in decorated carts pulled by a vintage tractor!
The entire day was a success, and just full of lovely details.”

I don’t know about you but I am little jealous of the kids that got to ride on that tractor, now this would my type of entertainment!
Right I’m off to start a petition to get Gib to grow his stache back, who’s with me?
Much Bespoke Love
