Off the Record: Weird Weather, Holiday Highlights & Dinner on the Docks!
Follow us on INSTAGRAM!
Here we are again, heading into what looks like another fabulously sunny weekend. I know its rather boring to have a conversation about the weather but it has been quite entertaining this week, the sun has been glorious and the thunderstorms that have followed have been thrilling, creating beautiful colours in the sky and producing the loudest roars of thunder I have ever heard. I find it all quite mystical!
So this week has been another busy one as we put the finishing touches to some of the projects we have been working on. As well as that, Jess has been working like a crazed maniac to get her posts for the next few weeks done as it is just under two weeks until she heads off to Mexico for another holiday (isn’t she is a lucky ducky!).
I have to admit I am a little jealous, especially after watching our Maldives videos this week, it has given me the post holiday blues but Mr T has promised me a holiday before the year is out so watch this space!
EMILY LOVES…
♥ Watching our Maldives Video for the first time! Jess does such a fabulous job of editing all our videos and I love getting to preview them. This one was extra special because it documented our whole amazing trip and I couldn’t wait to see it, and it certainly didn’t disappoint! I loved getting to relive all our highlights and it has made me determined to go back there one day.
♥ Hearty homemade salads! With the temperatures soaring I have been enjoying indulging in cooling foods, potato salads, tomato couscous, cold hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, celery, carrots and beetroots are just some of my favourites at the moment!
♥ Being a guest at a wedding. I get to see beautiful weddings everyday but it isn’t very often that I really get to experience them. Last weekend myself and Mr T made the journey down to Axnoller Farm in Dorset to celebrate the wedding of our dear friends Joe & Charlotte. Despite the early morning thunderstorms, as soon as the ceremony begun the sun shone so brightly. The day was perfect and I couldn’t be more happy for them!
♥ Icecream! Its summer do I need an excuse?
♥ Season 2 of American Horror Story. I never in a million years thought that Mr T would get me to watch anything remotely horrific but he has done it and I am sorry to say I am slightly obsessed, even if I do have my eyes closed half of the time 😀
♥ Rolling the windows down in the car, putting on my sunglasses and singing loudly to my favourite summer tunes. I have been getting some weird looks but who cares, it makes me happy!!
JESS LOVES…
♥ Getting back into juicing! I have to admit I totally fell off the bandwagon the last couple of months but I’m back baby! I can honestly say starting my day with a fresh juice has massively improved my productivity, it gives me a massive amount of energy plus it’s fun getting creative with the recipes!
♥ Creating DIYs outside! Me and Emily will try to do our DIYs outside as much as possible, because quite frankly, the lighting is better but this week has been an extra bonus to work outside with the sun beaming down!
♥ ‘About Time’. I watched this by myself on Saturday night and then made James watch it again on Sunday night with me! I absolutely loved it! Yes it’s a rom com but at heart it’s a beautiful British film set in Cornwall and London with the overall message to appreciate your family and live every day it’s full potential. I would definitely recommend it!
♥ Teaching Mushu to rollover! He’s finally got it this week so can now add that to his bank of tricks! Next on the list? Paw…PAW….MUSHU PAW…PAW!!
♥ Going out for lunch with James, we went up to Gloucester Docks on Wednesday and although I didn’t really enjoy my food I did enjoy spending the afternoon with him and being able to eat lunch outside! Plus the restaurant had freshly squeezed OJ so that’s always a bonus!
♥ Making our Maldives YouTube video, in case you missed it you can catch it here! I know Emily already mentioned this but I really want to emphasize how nice it is to look back on holiday memories, I think you forget so many things! I believe everybody needs to make vacation videos, especially being able to record videos so easily on our phones now! It is so so so nice to look back on in years to come and has that extra dimension to holiday photos!
♥ Going for walks down Yorkley Court Community Farm! I took Mushu down there the other day with Lyd and I just love all of the fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers they are growing! It’s so pretty down there!
