My Favourite Place.

In just under 2 weeks i’ll be returning to my favourite place in the whole wide world. Granted, I haven’t actually explored the entire globe but out of all the places my travels have taken me, Mexico is the one country that holds a special place in my heart. And if you asked me why, I’m not even sure I could explain it.

You see, I first went to Mexico when I 12 years old, it was your classic family holiday, myself, my sister and my mum and dad all packed our suitcases (way too full) and headed off for a 2 week holiday in the Caribbean, little did we know this would be the holiday that would influence so many of our other trips in the future!

We went snorkelling, turtle feeding, and even visited some fascinating mayan sites. Within no time of flying back home we had already decided to book for the following year, this soon become an annual event and since we were spending every summer there and sometimes even January we fast made friendships and bonds with so many of the locals, in fact one of my very best friends now is from Mexico.

In total i’ve spent over half a year in that glorious country, making memories and experiencing things I could never have even dreamed of! I just love the relaxed attitude there and happy personas of so many of the wonderful people, I love the white sand, the turquoise sea, the history, the culture and I love the way that there is always somewhere new to explore or something different to experience.

But most of all I love the way that the moment I step off of that aeroplane I feel like I’m home, even if I am actually over 4000 miles away from England.
