Eclectic Woodsy Styled Shoot
I don’t know what it is about woodlands but they make me think of autumn, going for a long walks, crunching through brown leaves and feeling the crisp cold air on my face. Well todays styled shoot isn’t quite like that because the weather is absolutely glorious, but there is something about the rustic styling and low sunlight that has me dreaming of autumn and I think it will for you too.
Photographer Brittany is here to tell us more about the styling of this beautiful shoot…
“We were going for a woodsy eclectic theme. The venue we used was actually a wooded area in an old picnic area which was part of the River’s Edge Country Club and hasn’t been used in many years! I worked with an amazing local wedding stylist, Classic Designs by Doreen Thomas CF. She really made my vision come into focus! I really wanted the set up to be super simple so that a bride & groom at any budget could recreate it. The models are actually engaged in real life, which made it even easier! Heather & Mitch were super cute, and fit the woodsy theme perfectly!
Lisa from Reflections Salon did an amazing job on our models hair! It was unique and just gorgeous! Our model did her own make up, we live in a super small town with no makeup artists unfortunately. The dress was sent to me by amazing designer Erin, owner of Peppermint Pretty, in Missouri and we must not forget to mention the amazing cake which was designed by Jennie from Jennie’s cake creations, she did an amazing job!”
