Off the Record: Love, Laughter & Last Minute Holidays!
So this week has been pretty darn crazy! I like to think that I am quite an organised person, I prefer to know what I am doing and when I am doing, and above all I like to be prepared, however this week I did something rather out of character! Me and Mr T booked a last minute holiday to Greece! So this time next week I will be sunning myself on a beach in Zante with a cocktail in one hand a book in the other! However this has left me in slightly sticky situation where I have about a zillion blog posts to write in just a few days but hey ho you couldn’t ask for better motivation than the promise of sun, sea and sand right?!
Anywho thats enough of that, lets take a looksie at what else we have been loving this week…
EMILY LOVES…
♥ I know I have already mentioned it but I am going on holiday!
♥ Treating myself to new clothes. Me and Jess had a very important meeting this week so I decided it was time to kit myself out with some new bits and bobs. It’s surprising just how confident new clothes can make you feel.
♥ DIY days with Jess! Honestly I don’t think I ever laugh as much as when I am with this girl!
♥ Musical Sessions with my brothers. Not many people know this about me but I totally love to sing. I used to compete when I was younger and I haven’t had a proper sing-a-long in years, so when they asked me to accompany them in a little jamming sesh this week I couldn’t say no. I felt so much better after, it was like I had got rid of all this stress and tension by singing at the top of my lungs, I loved it!!
♥ Myself and Mr T held our first ever BBQ this week for friends and we had so much fun. It was a little bit intense as we totally underestimated how much we could fit on our small little chimminer and our timings were all off but nobody seemed to worry and a good night was had by all. I might even had indulged in a little bit too much wine! Hiccup!
♥ Nursing hangovers with a good old Roast dinner cooked by the one and only Toby Carvery himself!! Mmmm Mmm!!!
JESS LOVES…
♥ Going blackberry picking! There was literally soooo many blackberries down the lane where I live, me and Hannah filled up two massive bowls and there was still tons left!!
♥ Using the blackberries in any way possible! A blackberry and apple pie has been made, and I’ve been having them in my juice in the morning which is A-MAZING
♥ Bad neighbours. Me and James watched this on a whim last weekend and it was hilarious!! I’d definitely recommend it, sooooo funny! (The airbag scene got me so many times, we had to rewind it and watch it over and over!)
♥ Going around Emily’s for a BBQ! It was so nice for everyone to get together for a little summer time fun! And the food was epic, especially Ems home made coleslaw!
♥ Steak! Me and James treated ourselves to some on Saturday night and it was sooooo good! He cooked it to perfection I must say!
