Off the Record: Inspirational Women, Interesting Roadtrips & Insanely Good Chocolate!!
These past few weeks have been so amazing, I feel like we have been on cloud 9 constantly and we never want to come down. Being nominated and winning awards with both Cosmopolitan and Wedding magazine have been particular highlights of this year and I seriously didn’t think it could get better, but something happened this week that really was the cherry on top.
As many of you will already know, myself and Jess have had plans of a second business for some time now and although it has been a very slow process we are excited to announce that our new online wedding show will launch early next year, but thats not all! Not only is our dream set to become a reality over the next few months but we have also received our first investment and won a place on an incubator Startup course. This is all thanks to Women Outside the Box and Web Start Bristol, who launched a competition a few months back to find the next best best digital start-up idea. After an intense ‘Dragons Den’ style interview and a week long wait we were ecstatic to find out that we had won! This is the most amazing opportunity and we are just so excited to start work on the new site as of Monday! We will keep you updated on our progress and we hope you are just as excited as we are at the prospect of a new venture for Bespoke Bride.

EMILY LOVES…
♥ Having the most amazing opportunity to turn a dream into reality! I know that sounds corny! I have always believed in our new business, right from the very beginning, however we completely underestimated just how huge an idea it would become. After two years of telling people that the site ‘should be ready soon’, I started to wonder if it would ever happen? So I cannot describe how amazing it is to have complete strangers believe in you and not only that but invest in you! It is the most wonderful feeling and I couldn’t be more proud!
♥ Being invited to attend the Women Outside the Box Festival of Female Entrepreneurs! As part of our award we were asked to accept our award at the festival. The building was filled to the brim with amazing inspiring female entrepreneurs and I could feel the love and support radiating all around me!
♥ The Festival of Female Entrepreneurs presented us with another amazing opportunity this week as we hosted our first ever workshop. Over 30 business owners attended, most keen to learn how to create a blog in order to support their existing businesses! The workshop was completely sold out so I would be lying if I said we didn’t feel a little nervous as the pressure was definitely on, but their was no need, we had a blast!
♥ Road trips!! Me and Jess made the 3 1/2 journey all the way down to Brighton yesterday to attend the launch of Choccywoccydoodahs Witches Kitchen at their brand new shop. Its surprising how fast time flies when you’re having fun singing along to the likes of Taylor Swift, Queen, System of a Down & Whitney Houston!!
♥ Being invited to the launch of the Choccywoccydoodahs Witches Kitchen! We decorated giant solid life size skulls and cakes with an adornment of chocolate flowers, birds and sweeties, had our faces painted and were given a grand tour of the new premises! It was so much fun!
♥ Exploring Brighton! Although it was wet and windy we still headed down to the seafront to have a look around and snap some pics! Be sure to check our our adventures on our YouTube channel, coming soon!
JESS LOVES…
♥ Choccy Woccy Doodah! Seriously, I think i’m in love with the place. We arrived at their shop in Brighton and I was completely blown away by all of the fantastic and crazy creations in there. There was even a chocolate bar people! And I obviously ate an abundance of sweets, treats and strawberries!
♥ Having some spooky makeup done at the Witches Kitchen event! They had a professional makeup artist on hand to scary us all up and I LOVED the look he created for me! I was a dark and evil fairy! I have to admit it was pretty funny walking through the streets of Brighton like that heading back to our hotel!
♥ Obviously decorating a life size solid chocolate skull was a huge highlight of the event too! I adore it so much I don’t know if i’ll ever eat it! The team were also absolutely incredible helping us create and make these chocolate delights!
♥ Attending Women Outside The Box festival, it’s always so inspiring to see amazing women doing amazing things! I left the festival feeling on Cloud 9 that we had held our first workshop and it sold out! I was so overwhelmed by the response we got and was so happy to meet the fabulous ladies that we did!
♥ The Online Wedding Show receiving it’s first investment!! I AM SO EXCITED!! We’ll be starting the incubator course in Bristol next week and then the ball will really start rolling! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for our new business adventure!

♥ I absolutely love watching ‘Shreds’! If you have no idea what I am talking about then a shred is basically when someone overdubs a music video and they are usually hilarious! If you are new to this type of video then you are in for a delight with this Jessie J one!
