Bright Lights and Big Rides: How to Plan a Luna Park Wedding That’s Full of Colour and Fun!
Gypsy, Boho Chic at Owl Creek
I have to admit I am a bit of a sucker for boho themed styled shoots. As much as I like to see some variety on this blog there is something about a bride with a floral crown, surrounded by greenery, foliage and mini tipis that never fails to dissapoint me. The ethereal feeling of this shoot totally blew me away and I loved the addition of the retro blue and cream caravan which gave the shoot a cute little twist. There was some absolutely amazing use of colour in this shoot too, not to mention the fantastic bright pink barn!
Here is photographer Leah to tell us more about the shoot and the gorgeous Owl Creek…
“This really was a collaboration of minds. We came together to promote the up and coming venue- Owl Creek which is right outside of Wine Country in Temecula, California. It is set on a 40 acre pomegranate orchard. There are so many vintage and rustic touches to the property, we all knew that we could use those and elevate them with each of our specialties. Sticking with a vintage overall theme, but modern elegance mixed in, is where we went with this shoot. With it being a pomegranate orchard, we decided to incorporate that as part of the color palette along with teals, blues, pinks, and burgundies. With the florals, we wanted them to be very organically constructed, lots of garlands, bold, vintage and elegant arrangements. Of course, you will notice that throughout there are additions of little owls to the décor…because, how could you NOT add little owls at a venue called OWL Creek after all?!
The swing was courtesy of Touched by Time and we incorporated the garland to it. This was a nod to boho chic, gypsy craze that has captured so many hearts and we must confess quite a few members of this collab are gypsies at heart! This area of the property is incredible. The trees are so old and huge that branches are growing down to the ground glamorous. Since it was near the swing we wanted to tie it all in with adding the garland to it as well. Once we had our model in the set and wearing her garland crown, it all fit perfectly, better than we imagined.”
