DIY Geometric Chocolate Tree Decs
It’s no secret that we love geometric shapes here at Bespoke Bride, you only have to see our branding to know how much we adore them! But…do you know what else we love maybe a teeny bit more? Chocolate. It’s probably one of our favourite things. Especially Thorntons chocolate! Oh baby don’t get me started on how beautiful that is! So it only felt right that we found a way to combine our two loves into one diy and we’ve done it! All with a Christmas twist too! I give you….DIY geometric chocolate tree decs! (bit of a mouthful isn’t it!) These are so bloody easy to make and could also be given as favours! All you need to create your own is:
Chocolate // Coloured or patterned card // scissors // glue // string // shape 1 template // shape 2 template // printer // sellotape //
Step 1: Print your template onto your card as big or as small as you like (if you can’t do this don’t worry, simply print them onto normal paper then cut them out and draw the outline onto your card)
Step 2: Cut out your templates and score the inner lines of the shapes to make them easier to fold.
Step 3: Place glue onto the flaps and begin to piece your geometric shape together, don’t glue up the whole shape yet though!
Step 4: Take your string and decide how and where you’d like your decoration to hang, then create a loop with your string and glue or tape it to the inside of your shape.
Step 5: Glue the rest of your shape together leaving one small opening.
Step 6: Finally add those delicious chocolates into your shape then gently tape that last part of the shape down (you need to be able to get into it easily after all)
And that’s it! You’re done, I love how modern these decorations look! The only thing you have to do now is resist those chocolates hanging on your tree! I may have eaten a few of mine already…. xx
Really cute and creative. Definitely going to make one.
